Patrick Body, S, Toledo: 6015,196 lbs. ran the 40 in 4.31 & 4.33. Had a vertical of 40.5 and 20 Shuttle of 4.12. Good player, who lost momentum when he was injured in Motor City Bowl (arm).
that is blazing speed for a safety.

what about this TE?

260 pounds running at 4.57, wow!
-------------
Stanford LB David Bergeron, 6'3" and 245 pounds, ran his 40s in 4.69 and 4.7 last week at his schools Pro Day. He also ran the short shuttle in 4.23 seconds, had a 34" vertical jump and did 20 bench presses.......This a player flying well below the radar of draftniks, but we were told he played and practiced very well at the East-West game. He was also a gifted LB and team leader at Stanford. Any team selecting Bergeron on Day 2 would be making a wise choice.

four hundred and how many tackles?
Keeping with the small school theme, we noticed a D-2 player that caught our attention: Daniel Leger, a SS from Colorado Mines--a Division 2 power. Leger ran a 4.51 40 and displayed a 36.5" vertical at his recent Pro Day. He's 6'1 and 212 pounds and had a great career with an amazing 446 career tackles. In 2004, his numbers were stunning for a safety: 124 tackles, 17 tackles for losses, 9 sacks and 4 Interceptions......By the way, we are not mentioning this player to please an agent. We just did it to give him credit for a great career and a solid workout. We doubt he gets drafted, because D-2 players just have such a tough road to the NFL, but a team like the Broncos would be absolutely crazy not to give a solid local athlete, who was so productive, a long look as a free agent.

Russ Rabe, OLB Minnesota-Duluth, is a player we've been promoting for a while. Today, scouts from the Patriots, Giants, Raiders, Lions, 49ers, Colts, Dolphins and Texans jammed into a small gym to see the 6'3" 235 pound LB run a 4.6 40 and display a 37.5" vertical. This kid's a legit Day 2 possibility (5th round) and you saw it here first in December.

Linebacker Russ "Big Cat" Rabe Minnesota-Duluth might be one of the few Division 2 players that has a chance to be drafted. Rabe impressed a scout from the Seattle Seahawks and could get a closer look if he plays well at the upcoming Cactus Bowl (D-2 All-Star game). According to the scout: "I use this rule of thumb for Division II athletes: If they don't dominate three out of four snaps, they're not a prospect. Rabe dominates. He has a great ability for staying on his feet and changing directions quickly. He's very active chasing plays downfield, and he doesn't take plays off. The only question is how he plays against better competition."

Perfect wonderlic score of Fitzpatrick
Congrats to our favorite "small school" QB, Ryan Fitzpatrick of Harvard, who became only the second player in the history of the NFL combine to earn a perfect score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test....By the way, current Rams WR Kevin Curtis came very close to a perfect score at the combine when he was at Utah State--49 of 50 correct.
