Does Doug Flutie deserve consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
December 6th, 2001, 4:42:27 PM
No. Of course not. His CFL numbers are not eligible for consideration. That's what the commisioner of the hall said. He WILL go to the CNDN hall though.

Gee!
Somehow I'm assuming that the yes votes here would also vote to aquit the man if he killed someone on the sidelines during a game and was caught on video. :D

1. I would think stating that DF's supporters would still be fans if he was a proven vicious murderer would contravene the hallowed TOS, wouldn't it?
Or the more light hearted
2. Exactly wys, just like we'd forgive him if he ****** your mom.

Easy there Shiva, just usin' a little tongue in cheek!
Sorry you weren't able to grasp that!!!
Not my problem...
December 6th, 2001, 9:22:30 PM
And, BTW, you meant "kissed" my mom, right there Shiva! Otherwise I'd have to say that you were classless and you'd also be in danger of getting yanked off these boards faster than Flutie can scramble out of the grasp of an oncoming DL-man!
That's what I thought. I didn't think you meant anything else!!!

Tongue in cheek wys, tongue in cheek.
Surely you can grasp that.
And by the way, I learned to embrace my lack of class a long time ago.:D

Well, at least you admit it's classless! It's certainly not a good thing to say TiC even. Let's just keep it above belt, eh...

A reference to a horrible act of violence, well, that's a joke, but a reference to an act of affection, them's fightin' words.

No need to degenerate this into a Canada vs U.S. pissing match.

Can't believe there are actually people out there who think Flutie is HOF material.

Honestly, he's lucky to even be playing in this league. Right now it looks like he's on pace for a repeat performance of his efforts to do so "back in the day!"
If he starts next year, aside from much of S.D.'s fan base starting to hate Butler and Flutie, he'll continue on in his losing ways! If they don't lose, he'll w/o question start taking some serious heat for being the "weakest link" out there on their team. I'm sure Brees won't have too much difficulty doing better.
It's a long way we've come, isn't it! From winner to loser. It's hilarioius that he's actually putting slightly more points up for the O out in S.D. THAT'S the irony of this entire thing.

Last night on ESPN, they said there were rumblings that Flutie may be exposed for the Texans to grab!
Add one more chip to that shoulder
