Remember back to a time when our team was labeled the hardest working team in Hockey? Not a label anyone lays on us recently. We still have a young team, but seem to lack hunger. We consistently get out-hit during our games, we consistently lose more face-offs per game, but those are skills. Hunger and grit are either present in a player or they are not. Some coaches can bring out the best in marginal players and I don't think that is happening any longer for the Sabres. I would look at making the following moves if possible. Find a coach that could light a fire under these guys butts before they end up missing the playoffs. Trade Kozlov for another younger scorer. Give Gratton one last chance to earn his keep by playing him more on a higher line. Tell Rob Ray thanks for the many years of service and bring in a more talented winger that will chip in a few more points from the 4th line. Just some thoughts, what do you think?
