I think UNC may be the fave heading into the NCAA Tourney, they're a little more balanced than Illinois. The Illini can have a bad day shooting they're done. At least UNC has May and Williams' inside.

Oh come on, just last year State finished ahead of both Wake and Caro-wine-a. Typical tar hole fans, when the bandwagon gets rolling, there all out to talk ****! Since I have lived here, now 12 years, it never cases to amaze me how both Carolina and Duke fans are silent in a bad year, but miraculously appear out of the wood work when things are going good. Reminds me of cowboy fan!

Oh and it is baby blue, the state colors are cardinal red!:rockon:

I don't deny that MPW, or EM, I should clarify, "most Carolina fans." I mean only so many people can graduate from there, but at least 3/4's of the state say they have or family did. Hell I almost went there, thank god State has the school of architecture and not unc! Not to mention I didn't feel comfortable with all those blue bloods on my campus visit.
But then again, I am from Buffalo, so I have a warped sense of loyalty for my teams. And yes State stinks this year and we haven't won a title since '83, but unc and dook get all those McDonalds all-americans. At least Duke produces and wins with them, unc's last title came in '93? ouch, what a waste of talent.

carolina was down for a couple of years(for the first time ever) and in that time State couldn't even make a Sweet 16. things are back to normal now w/ the heels at the top of the ACC and State not going to the NCAA Tourney.

carolina never had a bad year(unless you consider 20 wins and a top 3 ACC finish a bad year) until the 8-20 year. That was the worst year in school history and broke all of the sacred streaks but the new streaks have begun and a bad year once again will be 20 wins.

The best team doesn't always win the Tourney but UNC has made 4 FFs since then and it should be 5. We had a few down years thanks to a rough transition from the greatest coach of all time down to Matt Doherty but w/ Roy things are back to normal and the heels will be a contender just about every year again like we used to be.

And as for colors, Carolina blue is the best color there is. It's impossible not to look good in Carolina blue.

:lowblow: to the 'ACC' loyalty and all that... so you would cheer for the Dolphins in the Super Bowl if they played just to be a conference guy?

As a youngster i rooted for Miami in '82 and '84 but i wasn't old enough to know any better BUT I rooted for Buffalo all 4 SBs and I rooted for NE in all but this past SB.

That was a great Regional Final in 1993, Cincy got off to a huge lead over Carolina but the heels came back and the game went to OT on the missed dunk by Brian Reese(I am glad he missed it b/c it would have counted and it shouldn't have) and Donald Williams took over in OT.
