It is crucial that we use that pick on the best OL person available in the draft. Someone who can play on opening day.

Is their anyone who fits that description?

Any wheeling and dealing must invlove us getting a higher draft pick.

Or getting us a rock solid O-line free agent.

Nothing else is an emergency.

There will be some Guards and Centers that can step in and start... but the guy who would be an automatic starter and make more of an impact than status quo is Mike Nugent. I'd rather sign someone like Rick DeMulling (can't beleive this guy is not signed yet), Tupe Peko (has played 4 positions), Stockar McDougle (If Mike can be LT) etc and then draft lineman later. If we can get a 2nd rounder/3rd rounder for Henry that would be great then we can get Nugent and a solid OL.

As soon as Nuge is drafted he'll be a top 10 kicker in the NFL and a seious upgrade over Lindell.

I agree with Mouldsy..and our Oline is NOT an emergency.

Mike Williams, Teague, Villarial, Tucker and Gandy make an above average line. This is not an emergency by any standards.

Nugent will make the biggest impact on this team as a rookie than ANY other player we could pick past the the top 50 picks.

Kicker is personally responsible for more points than ANY other player on the team. If we want to go to the playoffs and win in the playoffs, you need to win close games...and you do that with a solid kicker who is accurate, has distance, and can kick under pressure....NOT Lindell. Upgrading Lindell is more of an emergency than our offensive line at this point.

If we trade for Shelton, which I think TD should still try to push and complete, we'll be set at oline.

Williams Villarial, Teague, Gandy and Shelton.....with Price and Tucker as depth.

There is always a guy in the 2nd round that is deemed first round talent that falls for whatever reason.

Whichever player the Bills get will be a value, that I am confident in that.

Remember, Free AGency goes straight into the summer time. Donahoe is allowing all the desperate teams to overpay for some of these guys while he goes out and gets the bargains.

As the signing period goes on, the price tags start dropping. I'm confident that Donahoe will get a solid OT through FA when all this crazyness subsides.

Like Josh Reed??

Nugent is the best player at his position in the past few years of a draft, you don't get a chance to draft a guy like this often, especially when you don't have a 1st round pick. I say we role with it and have ONE 2nd round pick solidify our kicking position for at least 10 years....its a small price to pay the least.

Agree with Mouldsie:

I don't know how a team with a kicker like Lindell can possibly not draft Mike Nugent, in a draft deep in quality centers where we can probably pick up a good one in the third round ...

Left tackle

Left tackle MUST BE ADDRESSED. I don't care if they do it by shuffling guys around, if McNally thinks he can turn Teague or Williams into a quality left tackle, signing a free agent who can step in or drafting a guy who can start, but it has to be done.

I feel no particular urgency to draft Nugent. I'm very intrigued if Buffalo does not go offensive line, by Luis Castillo as a second round pick. I think he's going to be a monster DT in the NFL.
