14 million under the Cap, Let's go shopping!

Forget the draft for the moment and pretend the 14 million doesn't have to go for rookies. Who would you try to purchase with the bucks? :feedback:

Hopefully resign JJ and PW and add a LG, then maybe a pass rusher.

We do no thave 14 million under the cap as I mentioned below.

Mike Williams hit esculator clauses in his contract. His numbers have risen dramatically.

He is due a 3 million roster bonus and he will also have an increases in his base salary to 4 million.

The Bills at this point are closer to 9 - 10 million under the cap which is not bad.
When we trade Travis we will gain another million, and if we cut Prioleau we will gain yet another 1.2 mil.

Mike Williams cap hit for this year is close 9 million. He is our LT this year. I will bet the farm that the Bills will not resign JJ, and will look for a more affordable RT replacement. The Bills Drafted MW to be their futre LT and the future is obviously now.

I think moving Teague to RT, then Tucker to C is a definite possiblity now, If they do it this way they can sign a big name FA LG.

and as of today the Bills are about 7.4 mil under. I mentioned this in other threads but Nate Clements has also hit a salary esculator and his numbers went up by 2 mil

Screw Mike Williams.

I knew we never should have drafted that guy! I wanted Roy Williams or Dwight Freeney (trade down). :(

Dont say that. We have two of the better safties in the game and Schobel and Keslay will do just fine. Williams was kind of the Gallery of that draft, too important a position to pass up when someone with that kind of talent is there. Remember 4th year.

I'VE BEEN HATING ON MIKE WILLIAMS WHEN WE FIRST DRAFTED HIM WITH THE FOURTH OVERALL PICK IN THE DRAFT, AND...I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

Can you imagine if we had Freeney! From SU to the Bills, he would be a god with us. The comparisons between him and bruce would always be talked about. Everyone back then thought the Colts were crazy for drafting Freeney that high, you think the Bills would have scouted him better with him being right down the road.

Our O-Line sux anyways. I agree Freeney would have been an awesome draft. Hindsight is 20-20

Not me I pulled heavily for Mike. It just sucks when that #4 draft pick money comes due.

If MW doesn't repeat last years offseason debacle he should be a force out of the gate.

I would use half the money to redo out6 the many contracts that will run out NEXT YEAR and the other half to buy a backup running back.

Sure glad you are not our GM. We need immediate OL help and backup QB. We could use a beefier backup RB, but not beofre we upgrade the OL.

Heck we need TE since both of our starting TE's have serious Knee injuries and neither will be back until Training camp at the earliest
