Is it possible for us to use either of these tags on a player like Jonas Jennings and pull off a trade ala Peerless Price.

I thought of this yesterday when I was noticing how bad we stuck it to the Falcons in that deal.

Could we do it again with a package with Henry to possibly get a better pick?

I don't see why not, at the very least it would give us another year with JJ to work out a deal if we didn't end up trading him.

worthy of top 5 or 10 monies at his position and getting stuck with a franchise or transition tag on him might cause problems. He's in a situation where Antoine Winfield was last year, in my estimation. The Bills don't value him THAT highly, and someone will break the bank for him. If you franchise/ transition for the purpose of trading him then you better be very sure that the deal will go through!

Hell, well take Peerless back but he is too high on himself to come back to us.

Agreed.

I don't even think that Jennings is in the top 20 among NFL OTs.

I might as well get the turkey for 3 in row. Read my thread in the P, R & S forum re: the Canadian solution.

Pay Jonas top 5 money!! No thanks. I think we can get near same quality at Tackle via FA.

10,000,000 signing bonus with reasonable salary over 5 years is not much of a cap hit, maybe 4 mil a year for a good tackle that is 28. It's center that needs to be addressed. A couple of gaurds would be nice. The tackles are fine. Drew get's hammered up the middle.

Surround Drew with an army batallion complete with artillery and he would still get hammered.

if he was dependable i would say do whatever is necessary to keep him... make the other positions stronger first... then see what we have left on the table
