It's really a shame Auburn didn't get a crack at USC. I predicted OU getting blown out ... and boy does it feel good to be right for once. BUT, Auburn is on the same level as USC. Many people picked UGA to be in the national championship game, pre-season, and Auburn beat them twice. Auburn dominated the toughest conference in NCAA ... why are the records other than Auburn not so great, because the SEC beats each other up internally. I just think it is too bad Auburn won't get a chance at a split (because there is no way the AP can make Auburn national champs and still be credible after the way USC won) ... but I really think Auburn could beat USC ... they are on the same level, people don't think it, and I wish Auburn had a chance to prove it.

Hey,believe me,I'd love to see a playoff system for Div.1 college football. But it won't happen anytime soon. For starters,the pres. of colleges playing football think it'll cause all sorts of havoc(extra games,time for school work,etc.)-which is BS. I don't think I hear them do that kind of bleating when March Madness(the NCAA hoops tourney)rolls around,do you? Second...that old standby: money. The colleges can make a ton off bowl games..so why would they want to change systems?

I think it's pretty safe to say you didn't watch USC's season opener.. Virginia Tech was giving USC a good run for their money. Looked like they were getting ready to run with it till that "Phantom" Offensive Pass Interference call.

Auburn handled Virginia Tech pretty well. It might not have been on the scoreboard, but Auburn dominated every key aspect of that game.

Auburn is way better than most people think, and I am not saying they would win guaranteed, but it would be within 10 points either way, this I have a very good feeling about. OU was wayyy overrated, and it showed!!!! VT almost beat USC, and beat Miami this season, and won the ACC with FSU also in that conference ... they are good.
