Not only was he 43, he hadn't gone to Church in like 4 years. Maybe he shouldn't have stopped.

Odd news... I didn't expect God to unravel a homophobe's mortal coil so prematurely.
The humanity.
Dude must've been hopped up on steriods at some point.
Put an asterisk next to his stats, Bruce is still the best by a landslide.

YES! Sad to see him pass away, no one deserves that. However, a great man? No way. This guy was an *******.

I seriously want to know if he had been on steroids before. You dont just drop dead at 43, that is just too young.

A decent man is dead. The good die young. Obviously, he was not seeing a (good) cardiologist. His death was preventable.

Foul smell maybe, no foul play though.
Sara White confirmed her husband's death, saying that she believes White died of respiratory failure related to his sleep apnea.
Only 43 years of age.

43 is young, but thousands die every year under the age of 45 because of stuff like this. I mean, alone look at the hundreds of high school players that collapse and many die on the field. It just happends sometimes, which makes it scary and sad, but best wishes to his family and friends.

I heard the news on NFL Countdown and was incredibly shocked. I hate Golic but when he broke down during the show it broke my heart. Very unusual when you hear of such a legend dying at such a relatively young age.
RIP Reggie. Hope you're having fun.

Lots of relatively healthy people die in their early 40s. or even in their 30's.
There are people who excercise regulary, and eat veggie food who just drop dead. Then you have people who smoke till their whole lives (like my grandfather) who live to 80-something.
It's just the unpredictable world of nature for you.

As bad as it sounds, great post JoeMama. He was always the "Minister of Defense". Then he gave up Christianity to study Hebrew, and he dies. Coincidence? I think not.

If it all relates to his diet, then it's his fault.

Reggie White died the day after Christmas. Hard for his family but an appropriate time of year to go home! Rest in Peace Reggie, the NFL is better for knowing you. :)

No way Reggie anywhere near the DE Bruce was he lined up against the weaker Right Tackles in the league and was never as athletic. R.I.P. Reggie now we don't have to hear your big mouth and your racist remarks about blacks, mexicans, hispanics, caucasians, etc. He should have just played football and not talked, what made him qualified to be a minister? :gag:

It is very sad to see him go. I know sometimes his comments offended people for one reason or another but you can't fault him for it too much if it offends you, because reguardless of whether or not what he said was right or not, he believed he was doing the right thing. He was such a religious man that loved his God. He had been doing 10 hours of bible study a day with original hebrew text. Reggie just might be a lot happier where he is now.
