I was at the game last night in Orlando.

I am thoroughly embarrassed by that performance and I am totally discouraged over how this program has degenerated over the past decade.

Coach P. is a nice guy. He runs a clean program and most of his players come out of SU with degrees and become productive members of society. That means a lot. But at the I-A level, winning means a lot, too. And even though, as a coach, I hate seeing coaches lose their jobs on a personal level - as a fan of SU football, I think a change at that spot is the only option left in order to try and resurrect the program.

The new AD came from USC. I would like to see him get rid of P. and look at Norm Chow. I have found out that Chow's daughter went to SU. So, there's an obvious connection. If not Chow, at the very least, it's time for P. to go.

I saw you on TV, Coach -- you were the one with a noose around your neck and tying the other end to the stadium railing.

Seriously, it was horrifying to watch that game. The Syracuse staff not only wasn't prepared with an appropriate game plan, they couldn't make changes on the fly to adjust for Ga. Tech.

I agree: Paul's a good guy but he has to go. Any program that has produced as many solid NFL players as Syracuse should have a much stronger product on the field.
