the AP has decided to pull out of the BCS or so says ESPN, is this the begining of the end? Back to split championships. If the coaches poll pulled out it might have made the BCS better.

Apparent concern over the Bowl Championship Series process has led The Associated Press to pull its football poll from the BCS system used to select the national title game participants and those in the three other BCS bowls, according to reports.

Good. The sooner the BCS ends, the better. Division 1 football should do what every other college sport does...have a playoff system to determine the champ. Revolve the title game among, say, the Cotton,Sugar,Orange and one other New Year's Day bowl game.(Keep the Rose Bowl out of it,as it should remain the game for the Pac 10 and Big 10 conferences) A playoff system doesn't seem to hurt basketball, hockey, etc.,does it?
