I agree with gr8. I really don't know what more they could do with those games.

In the next generation of PC's 3 years down the road graphics will look like that. Not in the next generation of consoles though, those graphics will look like today's PC Graphics.

That may be true, but Microsoft right now is actually using a modified Powermac G3 (I think) as the basis for the next Xbox. Also, processors are moving towards thsi multi-processing deal where you have two or three processors working together but dedicated to separate tasks. If they can get it all together, gameplay graphics might look pretty close to that pic.

i think it's possible for replays to look that good.

The is a process where games can add detail as the camera zooms in.

On the next gen systems it's possible that zoomed in replays can look that good. But the actual gameplay will only be 10-20% better graphics.

BTW even with all the new graphics and new systems over the years grass still looks awful. I hope thats fixed soon.

gonna be the big inside joke when xbox2 and PS3 come out. Both companies have contracted with IBM to supply the processors for their consoles. So when someone says that their system is the best and the other company's sucks, well, there won't be much room for an argument.

Yea and ATI is developing video cards for Xbox2 and Nintendo, these consoles are gonna be more similar then in the past I think.

it's all about games and support.

Nintendo needs to do an online thing, and shy away from kids games.

PS2 needs to go all broadband.

XBox needs to make sure they have all the good PS2 titles plus Halo like games of their own.

It bothers me that i have to wait to get GTA San Anderos (spelling) on Xbox when it's out on PS2.

It bothers me that I'd have to pay for XBOX live... isn't it free on ps2?

Yep. That was most of my reasoning behind buying PS2 instead. There are a few games - actually only one right now, the Final Fantasy Online one - that you have to subscribe to, but other than that it's totally free as long as you drop the $40 on the network adaptor. I don't see why Xbox can't do that, or have a one-time sign-up fee or something.

That had the coolest fighting system, it was so ahead of its time. Ofcourse the only other hockey game for Nintendo back then was Ice Hockey where instead of fighting they just started to bump into eachother...

Some people do not have the extra money to spend to play online. I can but for some people paying 300 when a system first comes out and 50 for games for controllers and memory cards the price gets up there..They should atleast make playing online FREE,Because they might go out of buisness if they dont charge.

I cant wait when you feel like your actually there in the game i know its going to be awhile but it will happen.
