A question for the tech folks

My beautiful wife decided the CD in the Jeeps player wasn’t good enough so she slid in a second on top of it and now I can’t eject either.

Any suggestions?

Don't let a women mess with the CD player in your jeep.

Seriously though, can you reach in with a pair of pliers and pull one of the CD's out? It will ruin the CD, but could get it out.

Or can you get the dash apart and pop off the top of the CD player?

:D

Seriously, something similar happened to me with my old car, except I didn't put in 2 CDs at the same time. I put one in and it never came back out. I had to replace the entire unit.

So, the lesson here is to marry a tone-deaf woman.

Some of them have a tiny little pinhole on the front. If yours does, stick a paperclip in their and it will manually eject. If not, onto Mehser's idea.

+1 :niterider

That's what I had to do when my CD player died. I took the top off of the player and pushed the CD forward to get it out. Give it a shot. :niterider

That works too... I also recommend keeping a sock full of dimes in the glovey. :niterider

Just so I do this in the right order

1. Kill my wife – done
2. Look for pin-hole – later
3. Take apart CD player – later
4. Use life insurance money to buy new jeep with working player

So is there anything else?

5. make sure kids know why wife was killed. You don't want to have to go through all of this again.

I ended up taking the whole thing apart and killing a VanHalen CD but the player works now.

As far as the wife, I'll miss that VH CD.

She's Italian, isn't she, Eric? You had better be on the run now, because there is going to be a vendetta.

Sounds like it's time for a new car.

So is there anything else?Keep a hammer in the car. You can use it to break the window and escape when your wife's friends lock you in the car and push it in the river.

It can also be used to open the cd player in a very efficient manner :D
