Who's it gonna be?

Flutie -- I just like him.

(but I'm not Canadian)

November 7th, 2001, 3:44:20 PM
Bogus Trumer should surely be on the ballot.

What's wrong with liking Flutie, all of western NY does.

November 7th, 2001, 3:48:17 PM
Yeah. And I'm not blind.

November 7th, 2001, 3:49:32 PM
I like him. So does stealth.

...Stealth is definitely NOT a Flutie Flake.

I enjoyed watching Doug play when he was our QB. I liked his leadership, his experience, and his ability make things happen.

When he left, I wished him well and threw my support behind RJ, who I also like. I like RJ's arm, his ability to run (actually BETTER than Flutie, if you look at YPC), and his oveall talent.

I recognize weaknesses in BOTH QBs and think that RJ is the better QB to run the WCO because he will at least TRY to work with the system. Flutie would just throw it out and do his thing.

So yes, I like Flutie but I am a Bills fan first. I will ALWAYS root for RJ over Flutie as long as RJ is the Bills QB. Plain and simple.

That's all well and good but ya still like the guy, right? Nobody said anythng about Flakiness. ;)

YOU didn't say I was a FF, Rude. But I wanted to make sure that I wasn't confused with the people in the original poll. Flutie Flakes are blindly devoted to the mighty midget miracle maker, with no acknowledgement or acceptance that he, perhaps, was not the right QB for this team. Their allegiance followed HIM instead of the team.

Mine will NEVER do that as long as the Bills are in Buffalo.

Didn't say "Like Him", I said "Blindly Devoted". That's why several of you did not make the list. If you would like to be included in future polls, please do the following:

1.) Blame RJ at least once per day for the failures of the O-Line, Receivers, Runningbacks, Defense, Coaching and Special Teams.

2.) Continually spout off about how RJ has no leadership qualities even though you've probably never met him or have anything but your "feelings" to base this on.

3.) Pull for the Bills to lose every week so that you may be justified in your opinion that the Bills should have kept Flutie, and that giving him up was the equivalent to the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth.

4.) Call your local CBS affiliate every week to request that the Chargers game be shown because "he's just SOOOOO cute!!!"

November 7th, 2001, 4:04:07 PM
I guess I'm ok. I'm STILL the only one believing that we can go 10-6 this year.

November 7th, 2001, 5:44:35 PM
Rude should be on that ballot; he's a closet FF!

You missed a few others as well...

Where's Ryan Butch, Brown Banana, insano, scooterinsandiego, FanOnSabbatical, REDwhiteand blue, and Bellowing. How could we forget about Bellowing? THE BELLOWS! Blowing hot air on a fire!

I hope Rude isn't a FF. I know that he DOES get VERY protective of the flake when anyone badtalks him and that's when he seems to bash JOhnson the most. So, maybe he should have been on there. FoS should DEFINITELY be on there, along with bananaboy, and bellowing. oh yea, and LMAO @ Player6600 for thinking everyone in WNY loves DF. Haven't been to a Bills game lately huh? Or do you just surround yourselves with fellow obsessees?

I'm sorry...I can't do this...bye...

GO BILLS!!!

"bananaboy" LMAO

November 7th, 2001, 8:21:45 PM
I think 666 won simply b/c he's been posting here recently. Mex's posts are actually the ones that make the least amount of sense and he seems like he'll stand up and argue that Flutie's the best even for that current year after he retires. Classic denial!

November 7th, 2001, 8:30:17 PM
NEWSFLASH: Doug Flutie plays for the Chargers. He is no longer a Buffalo Bill. Rob Johnson is our problem, not Doug.

I think Wys likes DF, but absolutely cannot stomach anyone who's an FF...
naw, he hates DF too!

He's certainly obsessed with the guy

November 7th, 2001, 9:30:20 PM
Wys loves Flutie. Inside word is that he's got Flutie sweatshirts and authentic Flutie flakes. oops.

November 7th, 2001, 9:47:21 PM
Yeah, I'm obsessed w/ him! I sprinkle my Flutie Flakes all over my bed periodically just like some people do w/ rose petals. I have my lifesized Flutie cardboard mannequin in the corner of our bedroom. My wife gets irritated often, but hey, I've just gotta have it I told her. I make sure I always have a superstock of my Flutie superroo undies and socks!

I have an 8 foot in diameter Swiss Ball that has a big sticker on it that says "Flutie's Ego" and I try and mind meld with it frequently. That's why I'm not always here. I'm out in my garage trying to get anything, just anything of value from it. If I could only be like Doug! I don't know why they don't have the commercial series "Be Like Doug!"

My Salt & Pepper Shakers are Flutie Shakers; the salt shaker is a #7 Bills Flutie shaker while the pepper shaker is a #7 Chargers Flutie shaker. I have a bumper sticker on all sides of my car that reads: "Get the hell outta my way, I'm a Flutie Fan!" That's a tough sell here in D.C. b/c everyone has such huge egos, that even w/ a Flutie sized ego, I don't get as much recognition as I would say in Buffalo!

Some kids have a picture at the bottom of their cereal bowl, well I've got a pic of Doug at the bottom of my commode! It's nice target practice.

BTW, here's a marketing idea for the upcoming end of season Charger/Flutie debacle: Flutie whoopee cushions! They can be giveaways at the next home game vs. Arizona. Each fan can inflate it and then when he tosses an INT, 60 some thousand fans in unison, PLLLLLLLL!!!

Also, at the end of the season, he won't need that ego anymore. They can probably chop it up and sell it in the form of a million individual pieces for all of his FF athletic supporters.

Update your signature, would ya? Sheesh.

November 7th, 2001, 9:50:52 PM
Where can I get one of those salt and pepper sets?

November 7th, 2001, 9:53:56 PM
At the Flutie Ego Store. It's shaped like a huge cranium and is on fifth Ave. in NYC. They cost $2,995 w/ all the proceeds going to Doug Flutie's campaign effort to smear Drew Brees and spread nasty things about him in the Charger clubhouse and media.

November 7th, 2001, 10:21:07 PM
STILL outdated. ay curumba.

BogusTrumper
November 7th, 2001, 10:24:20 PM
Flutie ego store . . . guess you've been there already. Think I can exchange my ego there for one more like yours?:)

November 7th, 2001, 10:38:09 PM

They don't have ones like mine there, just enormous egos like Flutie's.

You're killin' me over here!

Let's not confuse confidence in one's positions w/ ego!

Of course, even though all of my calls are just 4.9 cents a minute I listen to Doug and pay a dollar no matter whether I call for 20 minutes or not, and then pay 7 cents thereafter.

Doug said so!
