Yes, yes. They had the game and had many opportunities to put it away. But they were completely overmatched athletically tonight and were still able to compete until the bitter end against a far superior FSU squad.
The fumble inside the five at the end of the first half was the biggest play of the game and there's no excuse for not holding onto the ball. But to take the number-8 team in the country to the final whistle with a Freshman QB on national television is (at the very least) an effort to be proud of.
I'm just glad they weren't embarrassed once again.
I'm disappointed they didn't win and PO'd at the numerous mistakes, but proud of the effort!!
