Im not a "serious" gamer when it comes to portable and it seems to me that the PSP is going to be more geared towards hardcore gamers. If its portable its usually something just to pass the time (school).

im not a homeboy jro (your def a republican)... i just dont "go" with something... if your going to spend the big bucks on something you should learn about it... i got my Xbox because it simply had better hardware than the PS2 and i kept telling all my friends who made fun of me wait untill xbox live and when it can gain more traction... its the numbers one selling video game system right now (its sold more than sony the last year not all time) and my friends all have one... im glad i read and can look at the big picture... im like a mutual fund in the longrun im always the way to go...

Kind of depends on what games you like to play. Nintendo seems to steer clear of the more violent games, so if you like the shooter stuff, sony is probably the way to go. As far as the hardware goes, psp has a bigger screen with more resolution. The double screen of the Nintendo system seems kind of hokey to me. Can't really imagine a whole lot of games that would benefit from being split in two. The sony will also have some good PDA functions like wireless and MP3 support. PSP- bigger, more resolute screen. Probably more games. Nintendo, lighter, 2 screens, probably have better battery life, probably cheaper system and games.
