Here is a link for an intersting article from the Philadelphia Inquirer. It's about an idea for a settlement of the lockout from Brian Burke. I'm not sure if anyone has seen it before. What would it take for the two sides to consider this?

Another scenario that could be added is once this sort of 'cap' is in place, re-evaluate after 5 seasons, and if the game is on the up and up, and more revenue is being generated, you can set the cap with the state of the game. Re-evaluate the monies the league is generating more often than every 10 frigging years, make it 5, and let the players know that the cap can increase with the state of the game.
