Given the fact that there will be a protracted lockout, anybody in Ra-cha-cha or Buffalo hear of any plans to play some Amerk games @ HSBC. As a native Rochesterian (City and Irondequoit), and former long-time Amerk season ticket holder (moved to Buff in 1989), it would be a treat (and a lot cheaper) to see some Amerk games here. Of course that ain't necessarily fair to the fine, loyal fans in Rochester. God, I love the AHL and have awesome memories of the Rochester Community War Memorial.... (like the old name a lot better...)

AMERKS ROCK!!!!!

They were supposed to play one anyways, so with the ice in then, they will probably play more. Around 5 I'd think.

One was supposed to be played here, a Amerks/Sabres doubleheader on a Saturday or Sunday. They wanted to bring in the NHL teams minor league club the Sabres were playing. The Amerks played three times in Buffalo last season, once on a Sunday night, with maybe a 1,000 people in the building, and a two playoff games, which Buffalo outdrew both Milwaukee and Rochester when they got home. But they Sabres did send all season ticket holders an Amerks schedule and a form to buy tickets a few weeks ago, a sign that CBA talks were going nowhere.

Also an intresting note I read about the Amerks, they are thinking of playing an outdoor game at PaeTec Park (soon to be home of the Rochester Raging Rhinos soccer team and Rocheter Rattlers lacrosse team) in the 2005-2006 season, if they ever get the stadium built

LB: Humm, I'm a Sabres season ticket holder and didn't get an Amerks schedule and a form to buy tickets. What was the form for? Amerks seasons? or just for the one Amerks game that will be played on Dec 28? (Definiately a no for Amerks seasons but I would be interested in attending a few games especially if there is no NHL season. I definiately down to attend the Dec 28th game here-upset that I couldn't attend at least one of the three games that were played here last season-due to work.)

I assume it was the Sabres that sent it, where else would the Amerks get my name? Anyway it was for mini packs and single game tickets.

I'm a season ticket holder but didn't get it either. I remember getting one last year though. It was for individual games and mini packs.

I don't know about the Amerks playing games here in B-Lo,but at least two arenas are going to see some AHL action. The St.John's Maple Leafs are going to play a couple of games at the ACC on Dec.1st and 3rd against Binghamton;team GM John Ferguson Jr. admitted that the games(which were set in stone before the lockout)would be a test run for the 2005-06 season, when the Baby Leafs move from St.John's to Toronto. (That's probably why you're not seeing the AHL in T.O. this year;the Roadrunners moved to Edmonton.)

I don't know if they are a test run for the Baby Leaves when they move to Toronto. First the Maple Laughs have to decided if the Baby Laughs will play at the ACC or Ricoh. I heard they were going to play at the ACC, but then the St. Mikes Majors were going to rent Ricoh, and the Leafs don't want that, so they are not thinking of putting the team in Ricoh to keep the Majors in St.Mikes tiny rink that don't seat 2000 people.
