Randy Orton via RKO to become the youngest champion in wwe history.
Towards the end he shook hands with benoit. I guess this makes him a a good guy now and he can start his fued with Triple H over the title.

A great day for RAW, while SD! stays in the doldrums by holding down superior talent in favor of a complete waste of a Champion in Bradshaw, RAW has dropped their fledgling and stale champ in favor of Orton. Benoit had a decent reign, but it needed to end. Evolution, (Orton and Batista in particular) have been way over with US crowds and this is a good move. I hope to see an Orton/HHH fued down the road coming out of the Rumble heading into a WM XXI Main Event. Probably will happen sooner though.
Otherwise, the PPV was OK. The SD! six man was excellent, Angle/Eddie was better than the XX let down. Triple H/Eugene was average, but the result was very satisfying for me! JBL/Taker' was pathetic, let me make that clear now. JBL makes me want to throw a foriegn object at the screen. Cena/Booker T series looks to be promising. Edge had another ho-hum performance, I think he's unbelievably overrated.

thegame:I'm not going to rip on Benoit as being stale. He busted his tail and deserved the reign he had. Let's be honest, though,it was going to be a transition title reign. Odds are you'll see Orton & HHH start to build tension(and still not having the belt around his waist will make Triple H more obsessed than he is now)and possibly have Evolution splinter(maybe get a new member or 2...Edge,perhaps? If dude is getting booed-in his home town,no less!-why not capitalize on it?). Advice I'd give to the bookers:Take your time. Build it up.
As far as Angle & Guerrero go:Considering all the injuries both have had,it's best that the match didn't go longer. If Kurt & Eddie are going to be the focus of the next few months of SD!,they can work on it and do better matches.

I would not say Benoit is stale. He was very over with the crowds and had established a great niche for himself as champ. The worst thing about Orton being champ is that we will once again get HHH shoved down our throats as a challenger. I don't mind Randy as champ, as he has improved greatly. I would rather see Edge and Jericho be in line though. But that won't happen.
As for the rest of the show: JBL/UT was not good, but was not horrible. I have seen both men in worse matches. The 6-man was real good. HHH/Eugene was decent. I would have HHH not go over cleanly until next month. The 3-way was good. Edge and Jericho are real good and Batista played to his strengths. He is also greatly improved. Kane/Hardy was what was expected. I thought Michaels might return. The marraige angle is asinine. Guerrero/Angle was real good (although I liked WM too). Booker T/Cena was blah. Cena does not do it for me.
