I heard on Sportscenter that the Braves might be interested in getting Larry Walker and putting him at 1st. As a Braves fan I wouldn't mind having Walker, but his salary is kind of big.

Anybody else hear of any trade deadline deals involving big people? Not named Randy Johnson....

The Braves CANNOT take on any more payroll so I don't see this deal getting done without some major comprimise from both teams.

Here's what I have heard, as far as deals not regarding RJ or Nomar!

*The Giants, Cubs, and Cardinals are interested in Ugueth Urbina and Jose Mesa.
*The Astros may move Carlos Beltran to the Dodgers if the Astros don't gain any ground between now and July 28th.
*The Braves are interested in Larry Walker.
*Barry Zito could possibly be moving to the Mets to reunite with Pitching Coach Rick Peterson.
*The Rockies would like to unload Preston Wilson.
*The Cubs are interested in Orlando Cabrera.
*The Phillies and Cardinals have talked about exchanging Kevin Millwood and Placido Polanco for Matt Morris and Steve Kline.
*Bret Boone and Jeff Kent could find themselves as member of the Yankees or Red Sox.
*Carlos Delgado could have become a member of the Dodgers if he waived his no trade clause; now look for the Dodgers to target Mike Sweeney.
*Kris Benson will become a member of the Phillies, Rangers, or Twins.
*The Phillies are willing to send the Devil Rays prospects including 1B Ryan Howard for Rocco Baldelli.
*The Padres are no longer the top suitor for Steve Finley.

I think the Braves are going to try and make a run with what they have. Then try and resign there own in the off season. If they were going to make a move I think they would have done it by now.
