Anyone one a DVR?

Does anyone own a digital video recorder? When i move back into my house in the next few weeks we will have one. It sounds really cool.

$1,000 dollars at dishnetwork will get you a satellite system, DVR, and a 34" HD TV. Pretty good deal considering most 34" HDTV's go for about $1300 by themselves. But then again, it's still $1000.

I don't have DVR but i've only heard good things. It seems like the way to go is grab a system on eBAY that already has a lifetime subscription included, because that can cost you $300 all by itself.
