But at a major cost to your privacy. Is it worth it, or is google taking it too far?

Hotmail is going to boost non-paying customers to 250mb and boost paying customers to 1GB. I think I'm gonna stick with Hotmail.

It's in Beta with some weird rules. Every Gmail user is allowed to invite two members to join. Those new members are then allowed to invite two people to join. What you had to do to become an original Gmail user i don't know, but i've posted some requests on a couple of message boards to be invited. If i can get in i'll spread it around the range for anybody that's interested.

I've got Gmail, but haven't used it much yet. I'm not really worried about the so-called "privacy" issue, though (which has been way overblown, IMO). For one, my emails are usually pretty boring, and for another, the content is only used to determine what ads to display. Hell, we've got Google ads on BBI that are based on the same concept. No big deal, if you ask me.

The new Yahoo interface is really starting to bother me, as the action buttons don't work half the time.

Hey OBF,
How did you get Gmail? Did they originally offer it to businesses, or was it something you signed up for?

I got an invite from a friend. She actually accumulated several invites. She got in on the first round because one of her friends help develop it, I believe. At least is involved, somehow

So far I like it...tho I must unlearn the dependancy on folders!
