It's probably kind of early to post this, but I could not help it seeing that Madden2005 will be on shelves in less than 50 days - that's less than 2 months! Now I imagine many of you are like me, and like to trade some Bills players in the Franchise/Owner mode for players from other teams. I actually started thinking about players I'd like to put on my team this year, and several came to mind. Keep in mind, do not try to stack your team. But I am curious, who are some of you's considering trading for. Here are the guys I thought of:

DE - Dwight Freeney (Colts)
CB - Charles Woodson (Raiders)
CB - Gary Baxter (Ravens)
WR - Justin McCareins (Jets)
WR - Antwaan Randle El (Steelers)
C - Jeff Faine (Browns)
LB - Scott Fujita (Chiefs)
LB - Jeff Ulbrich (49ers)
G - Matt Lehr (Cowboys)

Well since we have Losman I don't have to trade Bledsoe, I guess I'll just let him retire a Bill or maybe trade him for a good center or a couple of draft picks.
I always trade Lawyer Milloy since he holdouts almost every year and let Coy man the SS position.

When I started the franchise mode I traded Bledsoe for Anthony Wright and Terrell Suggs who had a monster carrer as LOLB, great for blitzing the QB but I think this year he'll be listed as a DE.

Best thing that happened in the franchise mode, though, is that the Dolphnins moved to Lincoln (Generals) so I didn't have to endure the silly mammal or the horrible teal and orange.

I took over the dolphins for one franchise and moved them to Licnoln and traded away their entire roster. My team was full of hotshot youngins Rex Grossman, Willis McGahee, Freddie Mitchell, Anquan Boldin, Quincy Morgan, Jason Witten, Eric Steinbach, Jeff Faine, Mike Doss, Julius Peppers, Roderick Coleman, Alonzo Jackson, Kieth Bulluck, Andre Woolfolk, Rashean Mathis... etc I love to trade for rookies... once my players reach their 30's I usually send them packing.

When I get Madden 2005 I'll probably leave the roster alone though. I almost never tamper with the Bills, I'll usually have a 2nd or 3rd franchise though where I'll do a lot of different things like a lot of trades, moving them, having an expansion draft etc. My formula for success is fast OLB's, a dominant LE, 2 great DT's, a young mobile QB, a balanced HB, 2 90+ WR's (one fast, one tough/strong), a shut down CB and a fast FS.... and my O-line will usually have 2 strong tackles and a center and my FB needs to be FAST. I tend to just plug guys in at RE, MLB, SS, G and TE (#2-3 anyway) to stay under the cap. I'm weak up the middle.

I love Madden...I'll keep it as close as I can to the original rosters for the first season, then get some good draft picks and move on from there...

I wish they would put people in charge that actually know what they are talking about when making the rosters though. It seems that every year there are 5-6 mistakes with the depth charts and missing players etc. It's annoying not having Wire (among others) one year (your starting SS) then not having Terrence McGee (among others) the next... WTH is that?

I'll volunteer my services for FREE, hear that Madden? FREE and they will be FAR MORE ACCURATE than yours ever are!

In my franchise Bledose is 36 and still bombing away with 4000 yard seasons. I drafted a 1st round qb from Miami ans changed his name to J.P. Losman. Now I'm just waiting fro Drew to retire to start the new era. I don't really like trading away my players. I've only traded Reuben Brown, Winfield and Posey. I like to develop draft choices from their 60's and 70's overall to the point they reach 90.

I agree things like that irritate me as well.

Last year's Bills - No Stamer, No Coleman, No A. Brown, No Pucillio

Houghton still on team.

Such a pain in the ass to create the players too.

They have to almost guess as to who is going to make the team b.c. I do believe those rosters are set in stone in the game before all final cuts and last second signs are made in the NFL...

But leaving out players like McGee is garbage. There is no excuse for that.

I like to keep my Bills roster just like it is on the depth chart.

I always trade Bledsoe, I like a QB with mobility.

I like to keep my roster the same as the current roster...until they refuse to sign or retire on me. :(
