I get newsletters from Gamespot every week or so, with new releases for PS2, and PC. Check out Gamespot.com and sign up for PS2, PC, X-Box , Game Cube and I think even Game Boy advance newsletter, to find out about the newest stuff.

Anyways, I got a newsletter for PC, and the gaming industry has finally released a game rated Adults Only.

" let me call your attention to a game called Singles: Flirt Up Your Life, which is... interesting. To be honest, I had fun reviewing that one last week, since for better or worse, it's not like anything I've played before. Well, not like anything besides The Sims, which it shamelessly copies in a lot of ways. But The Sims isn't exclusively about trying to get two people to hook up. I admire Singles' unabashed, even straight-laced approach to its subject matter, but the game itself ain't so good. Read the full review for the scoop on the first Adults-Only-rated game ever reviewed on GameSpot."

The Review is NOT pretty and the game seems pretty tame. BUT since it does officially have an Adults only rating, maybe the gates will open. I dunno, but I think its about time they release games like this. I am an adult, and I purchase lots of games. Even though this game seems tame and lame, At least its a start.

I guess my main question is, since the industry has finally released a game rated Adult only, would you buy one (Not this game, but one rated the same) and what would you like to see in a Video game rated Adults Only?

Personally, I would like to see a game that is an extreme bloodbath, or Grand Theft Auto worthy of this rating...

What do you guys think?

Last year BMX XXX on the Xbox was rated AO. They supposedly had some cutscenes that showed strippers doing what they do.lol

Somebody in Japan will buy it... there's a huge market for games like that over there.

My bad.. I had thought when I read the fact that the PS2 version had the nudity edited it meant the difference between the AO rating and the M rating. Never been afraid to admit when I'm wrong.

Excerpt from article from Gamers Hell & NY Times:

"From the pages of The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and USA Today, to the national broadcast audiences of "CNN" and "The Howard Stern Show," BMX XXX has quickly become the hottest video game of the year. BMX XXX combines outrageous Hollywood humor and characters, beautiful women from New York's famous Scores club, incredible arcade action and a dynamic soundtrack from today's top recording artists to deliver an unparalleled interactive entertainment experience. The version for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system has been edited to eliminate the topless nudity, while versions for Xbox and Nintendo GameCube(TM) will contain topless nudity."
