Bucce, Bear and Parm signed off for the final time tonight.

Though, apparently, no here liked the show, I will sorely miss it. No on can top Buccigross as an in-studio hockey host and he is what I'll miss most.

This show actually gave me an excuse to watch ESPN2, let alone after 11.

So long, thanks for the memories.

Another nail in ESPNs coffin as it reguards to NHL coverage. They don't care about the game and rely on idiots like Melrose and Parm mostly. Buccigross is the man, but hes underapreciated like the game itself on the channel.

Extra stupid programming network. ESPN sucks they mostly care only for Baseball and Basketball and at certain times Football. They are running with their heads up their butts afraid of next year. well just fine I will watch center ice anyway. I hate the way they portray the game to be in they way sorta speak. I wish they would just simulcast HNIC or everyone go to FOX sports or TSN. NHL 2night was one of the only shows i liked. I liked Melrose and Butcher the best.

why'd they cancel the show? I thought hockey was still on ESPN2 next year.

ESPN has no idea how to market the game. If they did they wouldn't show only redwings or rangers games. And they wouldn't air the damn rangers vs devils when they had could have put on a great (meaningful) rivalry like the sabs vs tonto.

Its turned into the Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordon Network. I don't even watch Prime Time anymore. ESPN has been on my <img src='images/smilies/censored.gif'> list for years now and this really puts the nail in the coffin. Watch Empire or Fox Sports Net if you want real sports info.

You knew the NHL was in trouble when ESPN got the NBA. Ever see them lead off Sportscenter with the NHL? Only when they have gruesome footage to show.

Watch Empire or Fox Sports Net if you want real sports info.

Empire is on life support and FSN doesn't cover the NHL on a league-wide basis at all.

Buccigross is underappreciated.

The Toronto Sports Network isn't anything special, and Sportsnet is much worse. The only things worth watching on CBC and the CFL. The 14 episode miniseries on Nanook nursing a whale back to health is more typical programming on CBC.

And speaking of the NHL marketting themselves, ESPN sure doesn't help matters.

I'm assuming they are coming out with a toned down "spin-off" if you will. Something like NHL Weekly.

ESPN2 has sort of shied away from the "2night" crap. First phasing out RPM2night. They might go along the lines of say "NBA Fastbreak".

I wish they'd phase out Stephen A. Smith.

Lala, can I borrow your taped copy of episode 11, I missed one that and my world just isnt the same. Did Nanook make it through the night without collic? Did her long lost mother finally recognize those painful squeals of desperation? Did Otter, the head trainer, run out of Labatts or red blood cells? I GOTTA KNOW!!!!!

Is there a better 2 hours of TV than Sopranos and Deadwood? I think not. Last week's was amazing drama. I've not missed one episode of Sopranos over the 5 seasons, and Deadwood is an amazing new show. I hope it sticks around, with OZ gone HBO needs another great drama.

Though I'd put West Wing and Law and Order in the #2 spot.

Answers: No, No and I told you never to speak about that incident ever again

My question is why did CBC change the name of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (or Harry's a Pothead and the Sorcerer's stoned as I call it) to Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone? Canada have something against sorcerers?

With her signing a deal on that lame Friends spinoff you can also call it the worst career move since David Caruso (sp?) left NYPD Blue.

Back to the topic of the thread, do you think Bullock will lay some pipe to the Dude's widow?

I hope he comes to his senses and gets her. She's like the only hot woman in the camp. The whores at both saloons are disgusting. And that whoremother from Bella Union is a lesbian.

And I love the way the widow talks.

Not a Six Feet Under fan I take it? That's a great show. I don't really care for dead wood.

Soprano's IMO has gone down in quality. That dream sequence 2 weeks ago really was rock bottom.

No. That ship has already sailed. His chances went to slim and none when he told her his wife was coming to Deadwood.

Will Charlie Utter step up in class and get Joanie? The writers missed an opportunity with Flora to explore Joanie's lesbianism.

Who loses the bet and gets Calamity Jane?

I can't wait for Wyatt Earp to get into town.

I couldn't disagree more. Six Feet Under is a great show, but note the dream sequences Nate went thru when Lisa was toast.

I think this season rivals the first season of the Sopranos. A few episodes have been trashed (the dream sequence, the meeting his father's mistress), but the whole point of the Sopranos has been how the internal conflicts of Tony play out in real life. It was basically another trip to Melfi - note that the dream sequence was preceded by Melfi walking thru the Plaza with her friend as Tony was checking in.

It was also an effective way to foreshadow other events.

Unlike dream sequences in other shows - D*ll*s, Newhart, Six Feet Under, this dream sequence had elements of dreams actually in it - Tony riding Pie O My in his house asking Carmella to take him back. "You can't keep the horse in here."

nice article, I agree with him about "The Wire", I love that show too. As for The Sopranos, I thought they were done after this season? Whitlock mentions a plot line for next year. What gives?

Humorous article, but he could not be more wrong....except for the Russian. But then again, Pine Barrens is one of the best Sopranos episodes.

Boy we've really gone off topic.

In any event, this was the last year, then they decided to sign on for (i believe) 3 more seasons (including this one). I think that's the reason why we're seeing some strange plotlines and the family "feud" being strtched out until next season.

My criticism is the same one I had with "Twin Peaks" (OK, now I'm showing my age). The Soprano's is starting way to many sub-plots and not wrapping up any loose ends. They only offed Adrianna because they didn't have any other choice.
