Will Barry Bonds catch Babe Ruth and hit his 714th HR this season?

He would have to hit 56 HR this season to do it.

I don't think he will. As the season goes on teams will pitch to Bonds less and less because he has no protection in the pathetic Giants lineup. He'll walk 220 times, thats for sure.

I think the Giants will be behind enough in many games that teams will pitch to Bonds without fear of losing the game.

No strikes = No record. I have to admit I wasn't wrapped up in him, until this year watching him more often. The guy sees no pitches to hit, then hooks a 101 MPH heater from Eric Gagne foul, then on the next pitch, takes a 100 MPH heater out of the park, straight away centerfield. Incredible!
