unklechucky a critic of attitude, now thats good.

You can wait around until April 25th to pick your first rounder pick. Since the Draft began 4 hours ago, we can't find the person who is supposed to pick 2nd.

btw, I like my attitude....and it is nice.

I would have no problem with that, except for the fact that there are no picks to go in this thread.

Mod is more than free to go ahead and delete my posts if it helps, I have no problem with that.

the raiders are still on the clock. before the draft, the 24 hour window wasn't changed, so for now the Raiders have 24 hours. I'm sorry if you lose interest. I warned that it'll take a number of days. I didn't think it would stall at the second pick either, but the draft is still on and it will continue.

You can post in here, that's fine, just no trade discussions (so it remains private). Official picks and trades will be made in bold.

Just a note. There was a trade today in the real world, and Cincy and Denver swapped 1st round positions.

I guess there's some advantage to taking a long time. We'll adapt to that:

Bengals own pick #24
Bengals now have CB/KR Deltha O'Neal
Broncos own pick #17

Once again, I've been here multiple times since the draft started. It's pretty sad when we have to post three times just to let people know we are still ready to post. But what can you do. Oh well.

It'd almost be better to say 'we're having a mock draft at 8pm saturday, whoever shows up is in it'

CJBS and Mattrose992000 have made a trade

Mattrose992000 (Houston) gets pick #22 from the Cowboys

CJBS (Dallas) gets pick #40 and pick #79 (previously acquired from TB Bucs) from the Texans

Dr. Atomic
April 13th, 2004, 2:31:42 PM
I'm going to list the preferential picks for Seattle in advance, so things can move along a little faster. Since New England and Houston (from Dallas) are both ahead of me, I'll list my top 3 players, in order:

1. Randy Starks, DT, Maryland
2. D.J. Williams, OLB, Miami
3. Dunta Robinson, CB, South Carolina

Edited to put Starks as #1 choice. This is torture. Some publications have Starks ranked as high as 17. The Seahawks #1 need is at DT, so if he's anywhere near that good, the Hawks would take him. The problem is that a couple lists this week have Starks dropping rapidly into the mid-second round for reasons that I don't really understand. They do not seem to be related to the combine results, but more to his performances in college.

*shrugs* I'm going to guess that this is one of those temporary irregularities in the draft reports, and go with Starks if he's around at #23.

Just warning you that this Wifork to Titans thing might not go through . EM dont you think it looks bad that you trade up to take Wifork at 14 and then trade him for 27?

Uhh...I may not have been paying attention. Sorry. If the rules are that you can't trade players -

OK, but we're not trading current players. We're trading the rights to sign that player. And what EM is doing is making multiple trades to get more and higher picks.

Do I think that would happen in real life? No. But hey, we always complain about how GM's never do anything exciting during the draft. Now we get to see how real Madden Football-style GM's would do it. :D

Analysis for the Bears pick: Our coach Lovie Smith wants smaller DT's and we felt that Darnell was our number two guy on our board for DT's behind Tommie Harris. Dockett is not much of a run stuffer but can work his way into the backfield.

since people are doing analysis, I'll comment on the Browns pick.
We are happy to get a player of DeAngelo Hall's callibur, both as a return man and as a player in the defensive backfield. He has shown the ability to make plays and we believe players like him give our team an identity and attitude on defense and special teams. Any time you can make a move to improve two of the three aspects of a team simultaneously it is a very valuable move.

sorry if I slowed things up, I was at work in the field. Just as I feared, watched this thing for days waiting for my turn, and then wasn't around.

Anyway, Chiefs need Defense, and Odom has lots of upside, with the frame to bulk up, great spead/size ratio.

analysis:
The Browns yet again select a WR in the second round. Kevin Johnson, Dennis Northcutt, Quincy Morgan, now Michael Clayton. We are happy this strong reciever fell into our laps. We believe he is capable of dominating nickle backs with his ability to gain position and leaping ability. We lost Kevin Johnson this season, and are fortunate to find a wide reciever with the skills Michael has. We feel we have given our quarterback a solid target to work with, as we plan on using a lot of three WR sets in addition to a power running game. We feel he is a dominating downfield blocker to help out in the running game. He definetally fits the Cleveland blue collar mentality.

Oh yea I forgot my analysis about the Giants pick

Analysis: Well though Tackle was more of a need for our line, our front office believed that our whole o-line needs retooling so after getting our franchise QB we got a Pro bowl potential center for many years to come in Jake. We love Jake's nastiness in the run game and solid protection in the past.

Thank them (and the rest of the moderators and administrators) whenever you get the chance. They bust their asses to make this place great...and the Range rocks.

On the other hand, I'm the exception to the rule. I came here for the punch and pie, and was asked to stay because I'm dead sexy.

Anyways, the Atlanta Falcons are now on the clock.

OK! Settle down sparky! I love the range too. It actually is part of my life as pathetic as that may sound, and I really do appreciate all the hard work the super cops and admins do. That being said, the Jacksonville Jaguars after a nice bender at a beach bar select Rashaun Woods, WR from Oklahoma State. Or LSU depending upon how many bong hits you have had with swami.

By the way Henry, if your girlfriend is sore tonight and not interested, I'm sorry.

finally Jones gets a pick in this years draft and choses Greg Jones RB FSU.

Bill is very excited, lost out on a top corner that he had hopped would be here still. will focus efforts in that area but coveted Jones a lot after the Senior Bowl. is very excited about the running game now.

With the 41st pick in this years draft the Denver Broncos select:

Ben Watson TE Georgia

Analysis: Watson is an excellent TE and we felt with a little work can become a dominant tight end in this league. WR was also an option but with Sharpe possibly not coming back we needed to fill this need
