i am insanely disappointed in the refereeing tonite...they couldnt even make the right icing call at one point ... if you are going to let them play in the 3rd and overtime then let them play...dont make inconsistent calls that effectively decide the game out of the players hands.

What are they though? 10-4-2 in the last 16. (or something like that. I saw the record last night)
You know how the Sabres play. They have better records against teams like the Leafs and Colorado than they do Pittsburgh. Give them a top team and they win. A cellar dwellar and they lose. Makes me wanna drink.

I must agree with duff here. When you are fighting for your playoff life, knowing that EVERY point counts, you must come up with more than 1 win in your season series of 4 games against the worst team in hockey. I don't care what they've done recently, the point is we went 1-1-1-1 against them this year and should have collected 7 or 8 points instead of the 4 we ended up with. And perhaps getting at least 1 or 2 points in our 4 Islanders games would have also helped. There are no excuses for the Sabres should they finish 9th.
