Roy Williams had a great proday, in which he ran a
4.37 in the 40. He also had a blistering time of 3.97
in the short shuttle. As for the rest of his stats, you
can read the rest of the article for yourself. I was not
too keen on getting this Williams but with numbers like his,
you can not miss!! Some mock drafts have had him falling
to the 13th pick.
Does this news excite you???

Those mocks were made before this workout, he is more likely top 10 material now that he has given confirmation of his quickness and speed.

Good article. I still think Fitzgerald will still be the first receiver to be picked in the draft. However with Roy in the top ten now, there could be 6 receivers taken in the first round.
How many WR do you think will be picked in the first round???
I have 6: Fitz, RoyW, RegW, MW, RWoods and Lee Evans
If Evans doesnt make the first round, then you can possibly count Chris Gamble since his position has not been specified. Certain teams may want to use him as aWR and nickle DB in his first two years.

He may have moved ahead of Mike Williams now with that workout. I think Fitzgerald will go no later than 3rd to Arizona. He's got some connections with Dennis Green. I think Jacksonville is a good bet to go for a receiver. But the Jets might not go for one because they traded for a WR. If we go WR, I think it'll be Reggie Williams.
I thnk we could have as many as 8 WR taken in the 1st round. Michael Clayton could be a first round pick. Michael Jenkins in a recent workout ran a lot better than people thought he could and he could go in round 1 also.

I thought from day one R. Williams was the better WR, but got swayed to the Fitzgerald bandwagon.....but honestly Fitz really doesn't tickle my fancy. Roy is going to be a very good WR. I would love for us to get him, and he won't fall down to us, but would love to trade up for him. He would be a EXCELLENT compliment to Moulds, and would be our future star once Moulds hangs them up in 3-4...maybe 5 years.
Moulds, Williams, Reed and Shaw (that would be a very good WR corp)
w/Henry and McGahee in the backfield (gotta love that)
