In an effort not to attack a fellow Range employee, I won't take the time to really go off on the above trash. Lets just say that calling the toughest man in basketball a baby is a bit of a poor statement. Most of Allen's detractors have other issues with him, mainly his appearance and lifestyle. Even the most conservative basketball minds don't question his heart or ability.

Oh yeah and 27 points and 14 assists on a night he was benched certainly shows that he quits on his team. Right.

Just a few quotes from The Answer in the article:
"The most frustrating thing was hearing him say he felt like I didn't have respect for my teammates and that they don't have respect for me, and that they feel like I don't bring it every day," Iverson said. "A coach has never, ever questioned whether I brung it every day."
"I sat there and cheered the guys on, and when I got my opportunity I came in and played the way I always play, and that is hard."
"I don't have to be his friend, I don't have to speak to him. I can play for him, though. I can play hard for him and I can do exactly what he wants me to do, night in and night out. I definitely will do that. But as far as having a relationship with him outside of basketball, that's done from Day One."
Definately a guy who wants to just sit around and collect a paycheck and doesn't give an effort. :correct:

here's the thing about AI. He doesn't show up to practice and is a problem off the court (ie his history)
on the court his field goal average is always below .400 usually at .300. He takes too many bad shots. He has weapons down low in Thomas, Robinson, and Coleman. Mckie is a great 3-point shooter and Snow can hit that mid-range jumper anytime. Look at Snow and McKie's numbers when AI is playing and not playing. AI is selfish. With Robinson and AI they are a selfish team. AI used to be a great player now he's a nice player destined to be a superstar on average teams or if he's willing to give up some shots he'll play second-fiddle to a superstar player
I'm starting to think he's more like Marbury (who I hate) then a T-Mac or Kobe.

i kinda agree w/ that almost any guy could score 30 pts if they had 30+ fg attempts
i think a.i. would serve better to be a point guard, sacrifice his game rather than shoot the ball 40 times a game

His career FG % is .418.
He currently ranks #2 in the NBA in points per game, #1 in minutes per game and #1 in steals per game and averages 6.5 assists per game. Pretty good for a man who is the smallest starting 2 guard in the game and has no supporting cast around him. Please don't call Big Dog a supporting cast.
Problem off the court? Like those charges that were made up 2 summers ago? Or do you mean that he made a rap CD that wasn't politically correct? Maybe his extensive criminal record? Wait a minute, he doesn't have an extensive criminal record. Odd.

A.I. is an amazing player. Anybody who wouldn't want a player like him on their team is crazy.

he was a problem child. He doesn't practice he has been a nice not a superstar player the last 2 years. here are his stats this season.
last 15 games fg's : 8-17, 11-21, 6-21, 5-20, 15-29, 12-27, 8-21, 10-23, 12-29, 14-29, 9-23, 7-22, 12-27, 10-27
Only 2 games he sot over 50% and about 6 of those were ridiculously bad. This guy needs to practice

40 points, 11 assists, 5 steals and 48 minutes played tonight vs. Seattle.
Not a superstar? I guess 1st in points per game and 1st in steals per game doesn't count then.

im not saying he's a bad player i just think he'd be better not taking so many shots and be more of a setup guy like a point guard
i think hed be better off as a piece to a puzzle rather than the whole puzzle

He averages about 27 points a game, and he's barely 6 feet tall and, he weighs only about 165 pounds. I know his field goal percentage is low, and he takes a ton of shots, but he can go to the free throw line 10+ times in a game. He also gets a couple of steals a game. I question alot of things he does off the court, but on the court, very few things could be questioned. He has carried his team to the playoffs several times. His teams were never that great. Iverson was never surrrounded by very talented players.

thats why i say he needs to sacrifice his game and go to a team and be a piece to a puzzle , cuz if players go to the sixers nothing is going to change he will still get a majority of the shots where as if he went to another team that was already established he would have to fit in
kinda like he did in the all star game

against the Lakers 38 minutes 3-18 13 points. the guy has talent but he's wasting it by not practicing and being selfish

2 for his first 3, then got injured, came back and missed his next 18. He's been pissed off about some people calling him out for not playing through recent injuries, so he came back last night when he shouldn't have and wasn't able to find his rythem again all night. His supporting cast right now is the worst it's been in more than 5 years. Big Dog doesn't even want to get on the court it seems.
