which one of these guys would you most like to see fall to our pick in round 2:
Chris Snee, OG, Boston College
Jake Grove, C, Va. Tech
Jacob Rogers, LT, USC
it'd be nice if they were all there, but which one would you like the most?

Jacob Rogers, plain and simple! First off, he won't slip out of the grasp of teams like the New York Giants in the early second round because he will be able to play left offensive tackle in this league. Frankly, he likely doesn't slide out of the 1st round! Jake Grove is the player I'd want next, but he is probably the first center taken and it is late first/ early second round too! If you're looking for the Bills to pull the trigger on OL in the second, Snee is the guy, but I'd rate him as a mid second to late second round pick.....Trade down to get him, in my humble opinion!

Jake Grove, C, Va. Tech
But I cannot see this happening. I can see one of them dropping to round 2. A lot depends on the RB's, and how they do at the combines, and if ANYONE thinks one or more of them deserves a round one pick.
I can understand drafting for need, but I do not think any of the RB's should be a 1st round pick. Even for need. There are a few teams in desperate need of a RB, hopefully they project well and get chosen in the first, even in the low 1st.

We need OL depth and renewal so badly, I sure hope we can help ourselves in the Draft, as well as in FA, both this year and next, and maybe even 2006. (lol)

Trade down in round one and pick up Vernon Carey. He is projected to be a guard in the NFL. 350#, mean streak. Also could get an extra 2nd or 3rd by trading down.

I think two or three RBs will go in the first round. I'm not sure how that will impact the way the linemen fall though. I know Jacob Rogers has been showing up on a lot of draft boards lately, but I don't know much about him, particularly how versatile he might be. Frankly, I would just as soon not tamper with our tackle position. Let Jim McNally work with what we've got and see if he can turn their athleticism into top notch performance on the field. That means I would be looking for an interior lineman like Carey (an OT who projects to guard), Snee, or Grove. I think all of them are likely to be successful in the NFL. I'd be happy with any of them

I just hope one of them does fall to us in the 2nd round. My choices would be Grove, Snee, Rogers. Grove is my first choice because I think a good center is the foundation of a good offensive line. From what I've seen and heard about Grove, I think he will be a very good center in the NFL. Maybe not Kent Hull-class yet, but soon. Rogers is my third choice only because I don't know too much about him.

I'm not sold on Rogers. He reminds me of Mike Pearson. Technically sound, good feet, can't anchor. That's what seperates guys like Ogden and Pace from guys like Chad Clifton. the first two can slide and mirror, and anchor. Some OT's can only do one.
If I'm picking an OT, with the intentions of him eventually starting as opposed to being a backup, I wait till next season and take a run at Mike Munoz, who can do both.
