Right in front of the damn net.

It's a beautiful thing to see someone standing in front of the net again....Not only on the powerplay, but even in 5 on 5 situations. If the Sabres are controlling the zone, Drury puts himself right in front of the net, and the Sabres have been capitalizing because of that simple fact for the last 4 games.

He's not the biggest guy or the toughest guy...But he's been creating havoc in front of the opposing net, taking a beating for the team, and he's starting to score more goals because of it.

This guy has been playing hard all year. You've got to give it to him. And to see him in that crease cam above the net everytime the Sabres score a powerplay goal is a luxury we need to all take notice of. It's been awhile since someone has done that job as well as he's been doing, and actually kept doing it.

The playoffs seem like reality with that going on every game.

I always see Drury in front of the net... it's a great thing to see. Pyatt should be in front of there starting next game.

Its basic hockey people. Getting to the slot = goals.

It is basic hockey....But it's taken the Sabres a long enough time to find a guy who can actually get it done and take a beating for the team by standing right in front of that net.

Basic hockey, but it takes guts, as in the case of Craig Simpson, a flak jacket, to hang out there.

Guts is the one thing this team seriously lacked last year.

Not to mention the neck brace Vaive used to wear. What bothers me is that its a hockey basic, a common sense tactic. Why has it taken so long to catch on here. Is it Lindys coaching, or love of paycheck, lack of heart by the players?
