WNSA just reported that Jamie Hackel has been signed by the Buffalo Bandits and Corey Quinn was been elevated from the practice squad.
I like the move of resigning Hackel. While he is not the best defensemen on the team, he can hold his own. The biggest problem with him is he takes some pretty dumb penalitys. As for Quinn, the Bandits have said he is the goalie of the future, but I don't expect him to get any action. If Chugger is healthy, he will probably get the start in the next game.
Wow, the Bandits site is updated, here is the Hackel/Quinner link:

Good move to get Quinner back on the roster. At least he now has 2 good goalies to learn from, and can only get better(and we know full well he can step in when needed. See Calgary in last year's playoffs.)
As for Hackel....PLEASE don't tell Mac about this!

Sorry Carl, I'm not going to miss a "blockbuster" signing like that. Me and Darris had a chat about Hack last summer. He likes him, I don't. Darris is the coach, i'm not. Hack shows some brains on the floor, I might be able to "tolerate" the guy. Theres a few other reasons I don't like Hack but those will never be aired by me on any kind of msg board. Losing Susheski is a major blow to this team. IMHO we should activate Fraser. Accursi has been getting killed on faceoffs so Fraser could pull that load and let Mike get back to scoring us some goals. Quinner WAS ready to be a starter but signing Chico, albeit a good move, was a slap in Quinners face. Quinner is a good man and hopefully he's a better team player. My hunch is that Chugger is still far from 100% and Darris just felt pulling a Lindy Ruff might shake the keepers up. Honestly, the D needs a severe kick in the A$$. We shall see on Saturday, or should I say a few of us will SEE.
Mac be roadtrippin to Philly, home of the bEagles, 3 time conference LOSERS.:D

Hey,Mac,I'm no fan of Shrek either....but with Kerry now on the MIA...holdout...or whatever the hell list it is...we've got to get a bit of toughness back.
I think Quinn can roll with the punches with being #3 on the goalie depth chart. After all,he DOES back up Anthony Cosmo with St.Kitts,no?
Personally,I wouldn't mind seeing Fraser in the lineup either...if for no other reason than for faceoffs, much like I think Kevin Alexander did for a couple seasons in the early years.

Hey Mac, have a great time in Philly and be extra loud for all the Bandits fans that can't make the trip down to the game. Hopefully I will be able to pick up WJJL in the HSBC arena so I can get updates on the game.

Fraser will be playing soon. He had an emergency apendectomy not too long ago and is still recovering from that. Once he's cleared to play, I'm sure he'll see some floor time ... especially since they've now added an extra runner to the bench for all remaining games this season.
