This is an interesting move. Scott and Rivers would be the two candidates I'd look at. The NBA is really having an interesting regular season this year.

i would have quit too, danny ainge came in and lit the match that burned down the foundation

the celtics are my team and i hate seeing paul pierce go through this garbage

if they still had walker and made the deal for ricky davis that would've been ok but danny ainge is a moron and trades him cuz they dont get along...........what a good business guy, great job Ainge

While I do not think O'Briend leaving is good for Boston, I am going to wait a few years before I call Ainge a failure like many in the media are doing. Right now he is ripping this team apart, but I want to see if he can rebuild it better then it was. The Celtics could not compete with the top teams in the East, let alone the top in the whole NBA. The team should have some cap room to sign free agents in the offseason. So lets see who he picks as the head coach, I would think Scott would be a good fit in Boston, and I like him as a head coach even better the Doc Rivers.

im all set w/ doc rivers i think he sucks and byron scott has said he hates the boston celtics and loved beating them

as far as ainges moves if they had kept antione and made the davis deal they would be killing teams in the east sometimes it takes a team 3 yrs of making the playoffs to get over the hump, this would have been their yr in the east

but now they want to be a fast break team and pierce to me rarely looks like he wants to run and their are very few point guards in the nba today that know how to play a fastbreak style, so i dont know what ainge has in mind and i dont think there are too many good free agents next season

i think ainge should swallowed his pride on this one and kept antione
