I would love if we got Sean Taylor in the draft, but that probably won't happen. Are there any good FA FS this year?
In the last 3 seasons there has been 1 INT by all of our safeties combined. Think about it. Our D-line has more INT's over that span. FS is an even bigger need if Winfield stays, because as we know he just doesn't get INT's

I said it before and I will say it again. Winfield is not getting it done, 6 INTS in 72 games sucks!!! I think we would be better off getting a stud corner from the draft. Hall, Gamble, Carrol or Poole.
Safety can be fixed with the talent we already have.
The FAs FS available are Mike Logan, Donovin Darius, Deon Grant and Rogers Beckett. No of these canidates seems to jump of the page but could be a good pick up.

I agree 100%. We have been at or near the bottom of the league in takeaways for two years (three even?) straight, and he is a big part of the problem. It's great that he can tackle, I have to admit. He does make key stops. Thing is, that's what Safeties are for. I don't want to have a corner around that's good for run support first and making plays second.
We need corners that can make big plays. Clements can do it, but IMO with the FA corners that are out there we need to let Winfield go and bring in someone who's going to get 3 - 5 picks a year. If we have someone like that across from Clements it will only make him better, give him more opportunity to get picks. Plus, I can't say I'm real pleased with Winfield's bitching all year either. You should be making something happen before you start ripping others on the team.

It's possible (although I'll give you unlikely) the Bills could land Sean Jones in the 2nd round. I do think that given the depth in the secondary in this year's draft the Bills could get a nice value pick in the 2nd round on a defensive back. Add in Matt Ware, S, UCLA, Brandon Everage, S, Oklahoma and a list of CBs that includes Chris Gamble, DeAngelo Hall, Derrick Straight, Will Poole, and Dunta Robinson and it seems like at least one or two of those guys might slip. I'd say Everage and Robinson are the most likely.

Winfield would be a "lights out" Free Safety? I do! Actually, I would also imagine that the change of position for him would bring about more INT's and everyone here knows he tackles like a safety. Why Not???

He would probably rather play corner somewhere else than safety here.

Madieu Williams (ballhawk), Etric Pruit (can lay the wood on you and had 4 INT's), and Dexter Reid (pretty balanced) could be late round steals. Williams reminds me of Brian Dawkins. He's not afraid to get his nose dirty and he has nice ballskills.

Safety is one of the positions where there is a pretty good chance of finding a player in the later rounds who can make an impact on a team.
