Two straight trips to the NBA Finals, and he still gets fired. I feel bad for him. He was fired because Jason Kidd didn't want him to be a part of the team anymore. I listened to his interview with Mike and the Mad Dog, and he clearly was dodging the issue that Kidd pressured him to fire Byron Scott.

He's a good coach, not great but his team stopped listening to him.

That alone is reason enough to fire him, combine that with the fact his star player didn't like him and he didn't stand a chance.

i agree eric. but i gotta say im a diehard celtic fan so to see the nets go through this turmoil cuz of(ill go out on a limb here) jason kidd the guy who has a vendetta against my team kinda brings a smile to my face

im not saying i dont agree man their front office is all screwed up and having two guys you draft die on ya , and signing the wrong guys to big contracts(pervis ellison) ohh and uhh that guy vin baker it all sucks

which makes the whole nba suck the way it does if ya think aboiut it cuz theres plenty other teams that go through the same problems and it starts when owners dont want to shell out the dough like say the lakers or dallas money buys a championship these days not talent

the lakers buy championships? Prior to this year the only bigfree agent they ever signed was Shaq. They traded Vlade for Kobe after the draft, and had role players like Harper and Horry and Fox and Grant, that's it. Don't start whining about buying championships. The lakers are far from guilty of that.

and you cant deny the fact there is only a few teams able to pay the luxury tax


but hey i guess more power to em but if more teams were willing and able to do this the balance of talent in the nba would be drastically changed

the lakers paid like 4 million in luxury tax last couple years. thats nothing man. i think sac. and dallas especially pay 3 or 4 times that, maybe more. Grapes.
