Here is a compilation of some Senior Bowl notes. I will copy and past them from ESPN.com and gbnreport.com. Navarre sounds like Bledsoe version 2.0! The gbn reports are much more positive but from everything I've read no one other than Manning or Big Ben are legitimate 1st round material.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michigan QB John Navarre continued to struggle today in practice. He is and shows very minimal ability to avoid the rush. He is essentially a statue in the pocket that defensive lines know they can get to if they rush to a spot. Navarre really looks mechanical in his delivery and he hasn't shown great zip on any of his deep out attempts. Furthermore, Navarre's accuracy is overrated. He had a high completion percentage in college, but when forced to make throws down the field or to fit the ball into tight spots, Navarre's accuracy noticeably dips.
Bowling Green QB Josh Harris has been the most consistent of the three North quarterbacks. Harris has a lot of work to do before he can challenge for a starting job in the NFL. He played in a very basic offensive scheme at Bowling Green in which he threw mostly shorter routes and spent a lot of time rolling outside the pocket. One NFL area scout told us that over the course of a four-game span that he charted, 78 percent of Harris' throws were in the short zone. While Harris does have good arm strength, he must improve his accuracy in on intermediate throws and he also needs a lot of time to improve his ability to sit in the pocket and make quality progression reads. Harris is a fourth round prospect with some upside if a team is patient in developing him, but nobody should expect to see much from Harris in his first three years in the NFL.
Philip Rivers, the record-setting quarterback from NC State, has an unorthodox delivery and showed it today. There will be some debate whether his throwing motion will need to be refined or it should be left alone. Rivers' style has been effective, though. When he didn't wind up too much, he showed the ability to get rid of the ball quickly. Fellow South QB J.P. Losman from Tulane kind of felt his way through the practice, but he should get more comfortable during the week. Losman can really put some zip on the ball. He needs to show accuracy and consistency
From GBN:
Tuesday- no question that Tulane QB J.P. Losman is the best QB at this year's Senior Bowl. Losman still needs a little work on his footwork, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with his arm. Losman showed great arm strength, particularly on deep fade routes on which the ball got there in a real hurry; Losman also had outstanding velocity throwing 10-15 yards routes...North Carolina State QB Phil Rivers, who came to Mobile looking to possibly challenge Losman for the #3 ranking among QBs, was also solid, but just doesn't have the same velocity as Losman. Rivers, though, did show nice touch, a quick release and was very accurate, but the ball doesn't really jump off his arm...Virginia QB Matt Schaub, meanwhile, was very 'average'; he did everything adequately, but didn't really stand out in any area...
Wednesday- Tulane QB J.P. Losman continues to separate himself from the QB pack at this year's Senior Bowl; indeed, he may have improved off Tuesday's fine performance. Losman displayed outstanding mobilty that no other QB in Mobile can come close to; plus he continues to throw with terrific velocity, although he does tend to be a little more accurate when he takes something off his fast ball...North Carolina State QB Phil Rivers also had another solid day; Rivers was particularly effective hitting on the intermediate routes, but his deep passes tend to hang, while he wasn't very accurate on a couple of flat routes..
