Here is a compilation of some Senior Bowl notes. I will copy and past them from ESPN.com and gbnreport.com. Navarre sounds like Bledsoe version 2.0! The gbn reports are much more positive but from everything I've read no one other than Manning or Big Ben are legitimate 1st round material.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michigan QB John Navarre continued to struggle today in practice. He is and shows very minimal ability to avoid the rush. He is essentially a statue in the pocket that defensive lines know they can get to if they rush to a spot. Navarre really looks mechanical in his delivery and he hasn't shown great zip on any of his deep out attempts. Furthermore, Navarre's accuracy is overrated. He had a high completion percentage in college, but when forced to make throws down the field or to fit the ball into tight spots, Navarre's accuracy noticeably dips.

Bowling Green QB Josh Harris has been the most consistent of the three North quarterbacks. Harris has a lot of work to do before he can challenge for a starting job in the NFL. He played in a very basic offensive scheme at Bowling Green in which he threw mostly shorter routes and spent a lot of time rolling outside the pocket. One NFL area scout told us that over the course of a four-game span that he charted, 78 percent of Harris' throws were in the short zone. While Harris does have good arm strength, he must improve his accuracy in on intermediate throws and he also needs a lot of time to improve his ability to sit in the pocket and make quality progression reads. Harris is a fourth round prospect with some upside if a team is patient in developing him, but nobody should expect to see much from Harris in his first three years in the NFL.

Philip Rivers, the record-setting quarterback from NC State, has an unorthodox delivery and showed it today. There will be some debate whether his throwing motion will need to be refined or it should be left alone. Rivers' style has been effective, though. When he didn't wind up too much, he showed the ability to get rid of the ball quickly. Fellow South QB J.P. Losman from Tulane kind of felt his way through the practice, but he should get more comfortable during the week. Losman can really put some zip on the ball. He needs to show accuracy and consistency

From GBN:
Tuesday- no question that Tulane QB J.P. Losman is the best QB at this year's Senior Bowl. Losman still needs a little work on his footwork, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with his arm. Losman showed great arm strength, particularly on deep fade routes on which the ball got there in a real hurry; Losman also had outstanding velocity throwing 10-15 yards routes...North Carolina State QB Phil Rivers, who came to Mobile looking to possibly challenge Losman for the #3 ranking among QBs, was also solid, but just doesn't have the same velocity as Losman. Rivers, though, did show nice touch, a quick release and was very accurate, but the ball doesn't really jump off his arm...Virginia QB Matt Schaub, meanwhile, was very 'average'; he did everything adequately, but didn't really stand out in any area...

Wednesday- Tulane QB J.P. Losman continues to separate himself from the QB pack at this year's Senior Bowl; indeed, he may have improved off Tuesday's fine performance. Losman displayed outstanding mobilty that no other QB in Mobile can come close to; plus he continues to throw with terrific velocity, although he does tend to be a little more accurate when he takes something off his fast ball...North Carolina State QB Phil Rivers also had another solid day; Rivers was particularly effective hitting on the intermediate routes, but his deep passes tend to hang, while he wasn't very accurate on a couple of flat routes..

Miami has made their desire for Philip Rivers known and it looks more and more like he will be the pick by the team at #20.

---------

Now to crown the best performers at each position for each squad.

Quarterback

North
John Navarre Michigan

South
Philip Rivers NC State

Analysis: I have seen some reports with glowing reviews of J.P. Losman. Maybe there are a few teams out there that like his upside but I don?t think he performed well at all and he hurt his stock. Rivers was probably the best quarterback here but nobody blew the scouts away.

------

4. Rivers the #3 quarterback ? Philip Rivers has asserted himself as the #3 QB. While Rivers has picked up his play as the week has gone one I think Rivers moving in as the #3 QB has more to do with the poor performance of J.P. Losman. It is well known that the Dolphins like Rivers (gee anyone wonder why Marino got the GM job?.hmmmm) and he really stood out today when the coaches went to the two minute offense. Rivers was at his best in this drill while Losman struggled. Rivers did have some problems with batted balls as five were batted down today at the line of scrimmage, this does not seem to be a problem with his release or mechanics. It looks like Rivers may have locked on to a few receivers and the lineman picked up on it and disrupted his throwing lanes. Rivers has been the best of the QB?s although Matt Schaub of Virginia looked to have the best day of the quarterbacks.

I hope that Miami doesn't get Rivers. I really like this kid and think he could be a good fit for us. I guess we will have to wait and see.

You're so right Mouldrocks. The Fins got Marino out of the studio to help fix their qb situation. I think Rivers is an awesome qb and leader despite the orthodox release (Bledsoe's sidearm isn't exactly the typical release but it's effective). That said I think Roethlisger (spelling????) is the best qb in the draft but Rivers is not bad at all

NO QB this year. Unless the Bills can get Manning or Roethlisberger, then there isn't a QB worth more than a 3rd round pick in this draft.

Don't waste a second rounder on a bad prospect when there will be much better players available at other positions!

Agreed. I'd love to find a way to get Big Ben, but I don't see it happening.

OK, I am a convert. Rivers can play!

I am not saying take him at #13, I still think they should take the BEST (in the Bills' opinion) player available at that spot. However, I am much more impressed with Rivers than I had been. He did great against the best competition in college football.

Loseman didn't look too bad to me, either. He has a gun.

The Florida State RB (Greg Jones) is a TOUGH SOB runner. Not a position of need, but he is Travis Jr.

Lossman was rumored to have some bad interviews and may have hurt himself. Rivers seems to have taken over the #3 QB spot this week. Depending on who else drops, I would not consider Rivers a big reach at 13, ideally we can trade down, maybe with the vikes and get an extra #2, we'd probably have to swap 3's or kick in a 4 too. This draft is deep at WR, and we can get a good one in the second. You can probably get a quality Guard or Center in the second as well.
