I know what a GM does. I know what director of player personnel does. I know what a coach does. But what does a "senior vice president for football operations" do? Sounds important but probably isn't. The fins will probably bring in a "real" GM soon. Dan will be around for lunches, cutting ribbons, and sounding like a complete idiot in interviews, just like now. But the difference is now Dan has a title and his own parking space. He can also make sure they keep the pigeon droppings off his statue. Sounds like a typical fin season, a lot of big talk and not much substance.:phinsblow

actually the GM is Rick Spielman. wannstedt and rick both report to Dan. marino has the ability to fire them and since he didn't like fiedler coming in as miamis starting qb, more than likely fiedler will not be miami's starter next year.
