Is it me, or has the buffalo news ran a feature on every month's "soon to be captain's" leadership a few days prior to them being named?

Either this is Sabres PR pushing their stories, or just uncanny coincidence.

Or the Buffnews is hard up for stories on a team plummeting towards the bottom of the standings and unwilling to make any moves to stop it.

my point was that stories about the upcoming captain's leadership abilities seem to hit the bflo news a few days prior to him being named. go back and search the archives, there were stories on Satan, Drury and Patrick in that order prior to their repective announcements.
so based on that Dumont (who is not the captain at this point) is the most likely candidate.

I guess his injury screws that all up.

IMO I don't think this rotating Capt stuff is doing any good.

I'm inclined to agree. Maybe it's even having the opposite effect. A captain, like a goalie or coach, needs to ride out his team through adversity.
