OK, the nicknames thread is gaining some momentum, that's cool. As I updated the list I remembered a funny event that happened last season at the post game party over at Wobblestone. Pat McCready is leading the way in nickname suggestions so far so I'll share one of the funniest moments i'd seen involving Pat at the postgamer. Now some of you may not know this but Pat's real job is law enforcement. Yep, he's a cop up in St. Kitts. Now one would figure most cops to be relatively intimidating 24/7. Well not this cop. Pat's by far the easiest Bandit to talk to. So here I am, standing at the bar when a lady asks me if I know which one is Pat. She was going by the fact that my Accursi jersey is covered in autographs so I must know "some" of the players. I told her I did know Pat and if she'd give me a minute i'd find him for her. She was definately a rookie fan judging by the new Bandit jersey she was wearing. So now I fetch Pat and tell him there's a newbie that's dying to meet him. He gets that silly grin of his and says to me " where to?" He comes straight over to her, introduces himself and starts shootin' the breeze with her for a good 10 minutes. Then he takes off as fast as he can. I ask this lady what Pat's off to in such a hurry. She tells me he's rounding up more of the guys. Sure as i'm sitting here, Pat's bringing the majority of the team over to meet her! After about an hour or so this lady's jersey is well on it's way to lookin' like mine. This my friends is Officer Pat McCready of the St. Catherines Police Department. Come on out to the game, then the postgame and meet some of the best PR guys in the sport of lacrosse!
