Bucs Deactivate Keyshawn

bv

They deactivated him for the rest of the season, and plan on cutting him in the offseason. Its on the ESPN website.

I guess Gruden wasn't kidding there would be changes...lol

Gruden made a strong statement that he won't be taking crap from this selfish player. This is a great move.

TB will be a strong team next year they'll get rid of Keyshawn and Warren Sapp

I heard a couple of weeks ago after he had a 100+ game and the team lost that he was the happiest guy there. He's not a team player and Gruden made an excellent decision

i am watching Mike and the Mad Dog and they are saying the same thing, deactivated for the remainder of the season. it would be to much of a salary cap hit to cut him now. one of the guys on the show just got off the phone. he didnt go to a mandatory practice/meeting yesterday which didnt help his feud with Gruden.

I wished the Bills would have the stones to bench non performers. There isnt much to lose by doing so. Other teams have done so.

Atlanta benched its ETIRE seconday for a week, since they won ones and almost won last week.

The Browns cut Wr johnson, and they throttled the Cards last week.

The Saints cut DT Grady Jackson and have since won one game.

the front page of espn.com is confirming the story. Len P said that the Bucs will try and trade him with 6 weeks left. how does this happen since the trading deadline has passed?

Keyshawn is talking live on Mike and the Mad Dog show right now on the YES network.

From the same article:

According to Pasquarelli, Tampa Bay likely will look to trade Johnson after the season, as it believes there are several teams that are interested in acquiring his services. The NFL's trade deadline for this season passed in October.

Better drop him from your fantasy leagues and search the waiver wire.

He's been a front office nightmare since he joined the NFL. Don't the Bills have enough to worry about?

If he was paired up with Moulds his numbers would be astronomical

Moulds would be paid how much to be paired up with "Just throw me the damn ball"? Moulds touches would not be a problem?

From a good 4/6 team to a bad 4/6 team, I don't think so, besides

He's got a good number 1 reciever right now, and he didn't use it...

the only thing that would keep him from going here is that he would have to much talent for the likes of GW and KG :shakehead

I don't think he has the speed that we would want.

And I doubt that with all his baggage we want him anyway . . .

I bet Keysawn will go right to Dallas. He already said publicly how "Parcells was the greatest coach he ever played for" (just a way to get a shot in at Gruden even though they won the SB)

He also put his house up for sale in Tampa a few weeks ago. Must have been fun having him in the locker room.

He does not fit in with Buffalo. Who was that receiver we had during the early days with Levy, very talented but a loud mouth like Keyshawn. We cut him and he went to San Diego. The only thing I remember is that he wore a visor.

The most beautiful part about this is the he's been DEACTIVATED for the remainder of the season, not waived, so he's not going anywhere, unless the Bucs decide he is.
