Wide receiver Wayne Chrebet will miss the rest of the season after the New York Jets placed him on injured reserve Wednesday with post-concussion syndrome.

CHREBET STILL HAS HEADACHES stemming from a concussion he sustained two weeks ago. He arrived at the team’s practice facility Wednesday with a headache, and coach Herman Edwards said the nine-year veteran “didn’t feel real good.” He was injured in the third quarter against the New York Giants on Nov. 2, but returned to the game after doctors cleared him to play.

The sad part is it might not just be for the rest of the season, but his career.....

Wayne always seemed like a decent guy to me too, I am sorry for the jets loss. However, this makes the Jets game at home look like more and more like a win. I wont ever wish for injuries to opponents or delight in them, but this is a reminder to how important team health is. We should count our upcoming(hopeful) health as a blessing, and recognize how important the injuries to TH and EM were in the outcomes of our past games.

I wonder if he was injured further returning to the game? I sure hope his career isn't over. Get well soon Green Lantern...

Really? Has he had a history of concussions or something? Why is it career threatening?
