i still don't get this thing. i have looked at it prolly 20 times, and i don't see any difference in the spinning.

Really? We're talking about the image at the top of the thread, not the one that Noc modified as a joke.

So when you look at the top image, doesn't it look like the inner ring is slowly rotating counterclockwise while the outer ring is rotating clockwise? It sure does to me. This is probably my favorite optical illusion because it's so simple yet it works. For me anyway.

ooooooooooooooo, now i get it...sort of. if i stare at it, i think it roatates for like one second, then it stops again. a few seconds later is rotates again for one second and then stops. maybe my eyes just know its not moving so they refocus when it starts to move. i don't know, but now i get it.
