View Full Version : Bigger Bills embarassment: RJ or OJ?

With all the hatred of RJ posted lately, I am just curious who you all think has been the bigger embarassment for the team. Sure RJ had a hard time behind a terrible line, but if it weren't for the horrible homerun throwback call, he stood a good chance to take us further in the playoffs than OJ ever did. Yes, OJ had a better career to the point where you can't mention them in the same breath. However, he didn't kill anyone and become an embarassment to the nation after he left the Bills. He also didn't ruin my enjoyment of an important NBA playoff game, when I used to still watch them. Just for FUN, I am curious to see who you all think is the bigger embarassment.

OJ killed two people

That's taking the game WAY too seriously StraightJ. Being a subpar QB and possibly a jerk can't be mentioned in the same breath with double murder.

I think that's what you're trying to get at, seeing if anyone will bite. I'd be surprised if someone did.

Is there a forum for really stupid threads?

This thread is a bigger embarrassment. LOL!

Too bad we can't hire OJ to kill it.

This thread was a point to show how stupid the RJ threads were. Those were more embarassing to this board than RJ's career with the Bills. My whole point was, RJ is no more a Bill at the moment than OJ, and I'd like to thank you all for helping me show how foolish this kind of crap is.

Well, you could take a less ridiculous way to get your point across.

RJ. Both on and off the field.

OJ may have killed people, but he wasn't a waste of a football player.

Look, OJ didn't even kill anybody. Don't any of you listen to Johnnie Cochran?????

True. But even if he did, he's still more honorable than RJ in my book.

Look Mehser, I like you. For the most part you seem like a pretty sensible poster. I didn't mean to upset anyone, but I was trying to show you just HOW much irrational hatred of Rob some people on here have. I don't even hate the people who hate Rob. I'm not a die-hard Rob fan. I wanted Flutie in the music city. However, it pains me to see so much insanity on here, and I give our friend billsfanone credit for being honest enough to admit how much he hates Rob, and to speak for the countless others on here he represents.

I wonder if Johnnie Cochran could get Rob off the hook with you guys? I mean, he didnt even murder anyone.

Right. With all of the acts that athletes commit out there (Rae Carruth, OJ, Jason Richardson, etc) calling RJ a lowlife scum is taking a player that did not turn out a bit too seriously.

I understand why you did it. I just thought it was a bit obvious and most RJ haters won't jump on the chance because they realize (for the most part) that they would look silly.

Hell, I've talked about the irratinal hatred before. I knew people who basically wanted the Bills to struggle and lose when RJ started.

Why would Buffalo be in any way shape or form embarrassed about OJ?

The trouble that he got into occured 20 years after he left the Bills.

Buffalo fans who always thought RJ sucked also have no reason to be embarrassed.

However Bills fans who supported RJ through four years of ineptitude?

They have plenty to be embarrassed about.

I'll break my silence. I don't really hate RJ.

I REALLY do hate the RJ lovers that still exist and still feel compelled to defend him. RJ was a waste of space! He sucked! He isn't even good enough to be a backup. But I don't hate him. But I will continue to respond to every "don't bash RJ" post with venom.

What OJ did 14 years after he retired has nothing to do with the way he played pro football. I was amazed at his talent and even though I can only see it on classic sports its a sight to behold. RJ's stupidity is also a sight to behold.

I will never look at OJ the same, I feel distust every time I see OJ on tv. Actually I feel disgust for RJ too.

First of all...

The gloves didnt fit

He was found innocent

OJ was guilty of nothing except some BS civil trial

Oh thats right, he is black.

Even though he was found not guilty in an...american court ...lol...he is still guilty in white america's eyes.

OJ was innocent

RJ is the bigger embarrasment

You see Chimp once again you assume:

1. We are all white.
2. We think OJ is guilty because of skin color.
3. We are all racist.
4. OJ was found innocent. He was not. He was found not guilty.
5. The civil trial was BS. I bet the families of the VICTIMS disagree.

Stop the crap.

It's ok though, check out the PRS forum if you want to see more of it. Everyone but a few get the "Seau/Sapp" free pass. ;)

The funniest thing about the beginning of it was that it ruined my enjoyment of the Knicks playoff game(back when they had a legitimate title shot every year). As sad as the cause of it was, how can you ask for more entertainment? And as it progressed, it just got more and more entertaining.

Mehser, the sad part(as acknowledged earlier) as that many would agree with him, but just didnt take the bait for fear of looking foolish. RJ, if I remember correctly, actually did volunteer work unlike a lot of people. That, if anything, makes him a decent person in my book.

1. Lucky us.

2. A black man and a white woman. String him up.

3. Yes you are. Get over it.

4. Innocent until proven guilty. He wasn't proved guilty so...

5. Yes, there were very many things that pointed to OJ's guilt. But there were some serious discrepancies. I certainly feel sorry for Nicole and Ron and their families, but it's not as if no innocent black men had ever been convicted before to placate some dead white girl's mourning family.

3. Impossible. I have stated before that JC Watts is my favorite politician. Therefore, I can not be a racist.

4. True. But he was not found innocent either. More semantics than anything, I guess.

And whether or not he was found anything, it doesnt affect reality in one bit. The rare shoes he was wearing on NBC had prints there, and just a mountain of evidence....driving away with al cowlings and ruining my Knicks game!! Come on, if this guy wasnt as wealthy as sin, he'd be in jail. He also want tried before a jury of his peers. Furthermore, 1 juror was threatened by the others. I mean, this was one of the greatest travesties of justice in American history. At least it was entertaining, I guess.

This whole Knicks obsession: Didn't they usually ruin the games themselves for you when they took a dump in the 4th quarter? :D (i.e. Ewing's 14-foot jumpers with 2 seconds remaining that went 13 or 15 feet)

StraightJ
October 25th, 2003, 5:13:04 PM
Come on, even if you hate the Knicks you have to admit that behind the Bulls they were the most consistent playoff contender year in and year out in the east, and maybe the whole NBA. Even in the losses, they usually took the bulls the distance, to the final minute of the final game. I truly miss those days, they always were good battles and kept you on the edge of your seat.

Hi I'm new. How did an OJ/RJ thread morph into a Knicks thread?

StraightJ
October 27th, 2003, 6:34:32 AM
Because they kept interupting a good Knicks playoff game with those ford bronco commercials....oh, the chase I mean. :)

I am really contemplating a move for this thread to the assylum. or perhaps spam.

StraightJ

I didnt put it here cmsu.... And I didnt consider it spam, it had a valid argument, in my humble opinion. I regret bringing up the Knicks playoff game that the chase interupted. Besides, it was fun actually seeing our former moderator friend Hurls post for a change. I really miss his posts. You're right that this may not be the best forum, but I didnt redirect it here. Knocks on present and former players are often posted in the hardcore area, and that's where this started. I can understand the asylum, but spam would be an insult.
