Grand Theft Auto

If asked what my favorite game of all time is, I always respond by saying its a tie between Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City.

Both games have revolutionized the video game world, becoming two of the top sellers in history, despite attempts by many to ban the sale of this franchise. III was a breakthrough in so many different areas, from depth of storyline to style of violence and re-play value, Vice City built on III's strenghts and added even more depth and different options like flying a helo or buying property.

My question is... Who has played these games? What do you think of them?

Which was harder... I say III. I've beaten both, but the final mission in III was almost impossible for me.

3 is better in my opinion.

It just had a much better story and was more fun.


All Vice City did was update graphics a bit and add new stuff.

I liked Vice City more. Sounds stupid but is was mostly because of the vehicles (motorcycle). Although I did like in GTA 3 how you weren't limited to just one mission at a time, like in VC. But VC is still the shiznit in my book.

Both games were great but I don't think they have great replay value.

I currently only have GTA III which is cool. I plan on getting Vice City after I conquer III but that will probably take a while since I have to play missions over and over since some of these missions are damn near impossible.
