I've played X-Box live, but I actually only own a PS2. I know you can hook it up to play online, and I would love to do so with Madden 2004.
But I don't fully understand all the costs. Someone told me all I have to do is pay like $50 for the internet hookup thing, but someone else told me it has to be hooked to my computer to get the high speed connection. Can someone actually explain it, costs and hookups involved?
Thanx.

All you really need to play Madden online with the PS2 is to buy the network adaptar in a store. Which is the $50 dollar item you were talking about. It fits both broadband, and telephone line hookups, so you dont need to run through your computer to get a fast connection. You just install the adaptar on your playstaion 2, it hooks right in to the expasnion port on the playstaton2, and is really easy to do. Then all you had to do is plug your broadband or dial up connection into the adaptar and your ready to go. Just be carefull when playing Madden online. Alot of people have figured out how to cheat now. Most people pick quarter defense, then audible to a 4-3 or something and its a glitch in the game which causes some Offesneive lineman not to block, meaning you have a whole .5 seconds to throw the ball before you are sacked for a huge loss. Also, if you do win, lots of people quit, or just pull out their connection so they dont get the loss. Pretty sad what some people will do.

That is pretty sad, I'd probably get real pissed if people just quit on me, that's a pretty interesting glitch though, does it always work?

Sometimes the Glitch works not always. There is alot of stuff people will do to win. The main 3 teams you will see in Online play are the Eagles, Bucs, and Falcons. Which is sad, because they make these teams over rated in the game. You will see how low people will go for wins in online play once you start playing. I dont think anything could surprise me in that game anymore.

Well....now that I read all this I don't think I'm gonna get the online play thing going, I don't feel like dealing with losers who can't handle a win or a loss.
