Dallas and GS trade

Big trade just happend. The Mavs traded Nick Van Exle and 3 other players to the Golden st for Antwan Jamison, Danny Fortson and 2 others.

What a great move by the mavs they picked up an All star in Jamison and a great Defender in Fortson...Very happy

I don't get why Golden State would make this trade. Jamison was there best player, and the best they could get was a back up who had a good playoffs? Just when I thought that Golden State might be improved enough to take a run at the playoffs this season they lose to FA or trade their best players. Give them the number one pick now.

There best player last year was either Arenas or Richardson. By the end of the season Jamieson was the 3rd scoring option. Arenas had to go because he was more of a 2 like Richardson, but Richardson is better. And Fortson was expendable because of the emergance of Troy Murphy last year who will become a top power forward in the leauge. With Van Exel they get a guy who can not only handle the duties of a point, but can score 20+ on any given night. Dallas got better players, but this deal will also make Golden State a better team.
