This is from wrestlingdotcom mostly just speculation but my opinion is that I like Goldberg in the WWE. However I dont think you cant allow one person to hold an entire show hostige and act like a 4 year old everytime he doesnt get his own way. He hasnt lost a single match yet and has beaten two of the WWEs biggest stars in Y2J and the Rock. He is also in line to have a title match at Summer Slam. He didnt have to work his way up like other people who jumped from WCW to the WWE like Jericho, Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and many others. Of course this is just my opinion I would like to know what some of you others think.

Goldberg Possibly Quitting WWE?
Reported by: Robert Wilbur - 07.03.2003 04:48 AM

Sources close to the WWE locker room are talking that Bill Goldberg is not happy with the way he's being used currently in the WWE. Goldberg's unhappiness can be traced back to a conference call a few weeks back, in which WWE CEO Linda McMahon called Golderg "a dissapointment."

Since his arrival, the WWE has seemed unsure of how to use Goldberg properly, using him, to quote locker room insiders, as "just another wrestler". At first, he was placed in a series of one-shot matches, first with the Rock, then with Chris Jericho. But in the past couple of weeks Goldberg, the monster from WCW, seems to have re-emerged. His viscious spear on Rodney Mack, and the breaking of Mack's winning streak, is proof of that.

On the other hand, Goldberg has never been a "company" wrestler. He still has most of the money paid him when WCW went out of business. While other WCW Superstars (Diamond Dallas Page, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan) moved over to the WWE, Goldberg remained happy sitting on the sidelines. Now that he's back wrestling on a full-time basis, he's still not happy. The same insiders state that if Goldberg does not beat HHH to win the Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, he may walk away from the company.

The question becomes, then, if Hunter Hearst Helmsley, the real-life fiance of Stephanie McMahon and one of the most powerful backstage men on Raw, will job for Goldberg, giving him the title, or if HHH will keep the title and the power and prestige that comes with the belt.

When booking SummerSlam, the WWE will have to decide if Goldberg as champion will mean better ratings, or will they chance Goldberg leaving. Time will tell. If Goldberg gets his way, he stays with the company and that means ratings and a new champion. If Triple H gets his way, Goldberg walks.

^ I also caught this one.

In the event of a HHH-Goldberg match at SummerSlam, I cannot imagine any scenario where HHH would drop his title to Goldberg. Niether man likes one another both personally and professionally. HHH has the stroke he needs backstage to dictate storylines more successfully than Goldberg, so I see a very likely situation where Goldberg may quit. I couldn't care less, Goldberg is not a guy worth fussing about.

I'd much rather see Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels or Chris Jericho go up against The Game for the strap at SummerSlam anyway.

Im sorry...nothing against Triple HHH,but I think its time to give someone else a run with the belt: Goldberg,Booker T,or someone else who deserves a shot. It seems like hes held it for.......ever! This backstage politics crap is ruining wrestling all over imo. I love the wrestling, the soap opera-like entertainment, but the backstage politic-mumbo-jumbo has got to go.

Goldberg's history speaks for itself... The guy had, what, like a 135 match winning streak to start his career? On top of that, he made all of his opponents look bad in doing so, beating most of them in less than 5 minutes. It's sad when a PPV main event is less than 5 minutes long.

This just tells me that Goldberg thinks he's bigger than he really is. WWE was fine before he signed and will be fine when he leaves. I don't really agree with HHH holding the title for so long, but at least he's been with the company for more than 6 months and didn't demand a title shot right away (If you recall, HHH did a LOT of jobbing early in his career, even to guys such as Henry Godwinn). It's time for a new champ, yes, but not Goldberg.

I'd like to see RVD or Booker keep it awhile

RVD with the belt would be nice. It is getting old hat to see HHH with the belt all of the time.

I doubt HHH would put either guy over, he was supposed to put Bookere over at WM and got the finish changed.

RVD is OK, but still needs to work on interviews and his psychology, IMO.

Give it to Goldberg and create some controversy. They can do what WCW did with him and have everyone gunning for the belt. Besides he held that belt before HHH ever did. It was WCW's belt originally. At least we could possibly see a heavyweight championship match nearly every week.

If not Goldberg than someone else.
