How can the Leafs raise their ticket prices when most of the teams, have either kept the ticket price to their games the same or have lowered the prices.

But they still will sell out becaues they can get away with anything, you would think Buttman would not like the idea of most of its teams if not all who have lowered or kept the prices at thier current prices except for the leaf who have raised their ticket prices for the 5-6 years.

Can anybody tell me, if any other team has raised their prices because I haven't heard of any team doing so other than the Leafs aka the bank of Canada.:poundu:

And how exactly does this relate to the Sabres?

The Leafs can raise prices because most of the tickets/season tickets are owned by Corporations or affluent people. The average Joe for the most part either has to have connections to someone with seasons tickets or else purchase them from scalpers.

yeah it sucks but it is smart business. wouldn't you raise the price if you were guaranteed a sell-out every night?

Shouldn't they think of the fans though!?!

The people that help pay their salaries.. I think they should work it out so that the regular people can afford to go.. the real fans are up in the nosebleeds while the guys in suits sit in the best sections.. as they talk on their cellphones the entire game..

I think they owe the fans that have been supportive and patient all these years..

Ontario Teachers Pension Fund is the majority shareholder of Maple Leaf Entertainment.

Someone has to pay for those fully indexed teachers pensions that also includes just about every benefit known to man.
