Who has been to the WWE live?

What events?

What are some of your favorite memories?

I'll have some of mine later.

1/86-Taping of the WWF Saturday shows for a month at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, Poughkeepsie NY. I can't remember what happened, I think some scrubs got beat up.

3/98-Pepsi Arena Albany NY, The night after Wrestlemania when Mike Tyson was the guest referee and Stone Cold beat Shawn Michaels. SC stuns Vinny Mac in the ring at the beginning of the show. D-Generation X introduced to the world. A great steal cage match at the end of the night with the team of Mankind and Terry Funk, I forget who was the opponent.

^I think the opponent was the New Age Outlaws, and X-Pac and HHH came down at the end and thats when the new DX was formed.

The coolest thing was when I went to the Invasion PPV and I had floor seats in Cleveland Ohio, then the next night RAW was in Buffalo and I had 116 level seats. They announced that the Rock would be back the following week. Lance Storm won the IC belt that night too.

I went to a show once with the One Man Gang v. JYD and Hercules v. Brutus Beefcake.

I also got to go to a Nitro once on of the first ones where Hogan came back to red and yellow.

I have never been to a WWE event live (going on June 30). I have been to one WWF event at the Aud in the 80's. Saw a good match between Hulk Hogan and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff for the title.

I've been to about 20 wrestling events, and have seen a lot of interesting things... Here are a few:

Oct 31, 1990

Hawk and Animal, known as the "Legion of Doom" totally botch their finisher known as the "Doomsday Device"... Due to it being a TV taping, they had to re-tape the move.

An event very few know about occurred on tha6t same night. Back then, the WWF taped about a month's worth of shows in one evening, so the events lasted about five hours. A match that was to air on "Saturday Night's Main Event" that was taped that night was the Rockers vs the Hart Foundation in a 2 out of 3 falls match for the tag team titles. The Rockers eneded up winning the titles that night, but the match never aired on television. Therefore, the Hart Foundation apparently continued their title reign until losing to the Nasty Boys at WrestleMania VII.

August 27 & 28, 2001

Planning a road trip, I watch Raw in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Monday night, then travel to Detroit for the next night's taping of "Smackdown." The highlight of the trip is actually the late morning/early afternoon of the 28th, where I learn that Stacy Keibler is doing a book reading for children at a library midway between the venues. With most people at work or in school at this point of the day, there are a grand total of about 20 people there, and I end up spending around an hour within a yard of Stacy... Some of you have seen the pics... :)

In the early 90's I went to a WCW out here (I think it was WCW at the time), with a friend. Ricky Steamboat was giving an interview and was whining about one thing or another. the friend I was with got up and started yelling "sit down whimp" to Steamboat.

About a minute later, a lady came up behind us, and starting asking my friend why he thought Steamboat was a whimp? She was polite, and started going into how many back operations Steamboat had, how good of an amateur wrestler he had been, etc. By that time, I realized that it was MRS. Ricky Steamboat.

After a few apologies, she and her son ended up sitting with us through the card and I knew she was genuine, because Steamboat blew her a kiss and waived to his son on his way to the ring. She was really a nice lady. My friend's brother had wanted to get into wrestling, so after the card she took him back stage to meet Ricky Steamboat and Mick Foley, (then the infamous Cactus Jack) He said Cactus Jack was EXTREMELY nice, got the guy in contact with Ivan Koloff and got him enrolled in Koloff's wrestling school. The guy ended up being a scrub in the WWF for a few years after that.

I also had 2nd row seats to Fall Brawl when it came to Buffalo and then 2 days later after they taped Thunder in Rochester, I was waiting tables at Applebees and right before we closed, Scott Steiner and Madajah came in. I made sure that I waited on them. That was cool.
